Re: Happy Monday!

  • Hi!

Ok - so we spilled the beans this weekend!

Friday night was DH's 'rents - he starts off by telling them we saw the Dr that deliverd both of us - and his mom laughs and says "oh, where?"  sami says at the dr's, Holly was getting an u/s, MIL - "for what?" - totally no clue.  omg.  Sami's like, uh, well, lol - then it finally clicked the wheels were turning at like turtle speed.  But they were happy and eyes got misty - it was good.

then Saturday I had a wedding all day which was a lot of fun and I got some great shots.

Sunday we told my family, two of my sisters had bday's so we got them Auntie cards - and they were like, uh did you get the wrong cards?  Then they read the inside where it was signed "<3 Holly, Sami, Shelby, Ratchie, and ? (May 2012)" THEN it made sense.

Sooo my weekend was good!  Looking foward to telling Sami's sister and cousin this weekend as his cousin has literally like 40 bins of baby stuff for us to have!  woo!

  • @Holly- Sounds like you had a great weekend telling your families!!

I had a nice weekend, Fri night I did Chinese take out and made the apple streusel cheesecake which turned out great!

Sat am I baked the cookies (Danielle's recipe) but I baked them too long so they were crispy not chewy :-( oh well lesson learned to take them OUT to look at them rather than just peeking inside with the oven light. They were tasty though!

We left early afternoon to my BFF Brenna's for her housewarming party. Got there like 5:15, after checking into our hotel nearby, and waiting for a traffic jam of like 25 min. Had a lovely time at her house with her friends and family, then went out later (like 10pm or later) and that unfortunately was not that enjoyable bc the bars were so crowded. I had a LOT to drink so the next morning was rough!

Sunday we got home at 1pm and got in bed an took a nap and vegged. It was awesome just snuggling up and watching tv with DH until his hockey game.

  • Friday night we stayed in and watched some more DVR (at this rate we will never get caught up).

Saturday we slept in finally.  Then we cleaned the apartment and I baked some cookies in the afternoon.  We tried a new chicken & tortellini dish for dinner that was yummy.  We watched part of the Cards game but were both falling asleep so we went to bed...we should have stayed up since we missed all the excitement.

Sunday we finally made it to church again (after like a month+ hiatus).  Then went to the ILs and had lunch and hung out for a while.  Later we went to a benefit for my cousin who has cancer.  We made it home by about 7:30/8 to finish watching the Cards game.

Overall it was a good weekend.  Nice to spend some quality time with DH and the family.

  • We had a nice weekend.  Friday we went out to sushi with another couple, which was really nice.  Saturday i went to a GT game watching with the local alumni group.  Then we went to watch a local MMA competition.  It was pretty cool, one of the guys that we went with knows the guy who runs it really well, so we got really awesome table seats on the floor.  Then the guy running it did his recommissioning ceremony for the NAVY  on stage between fights, then immediately proposed to his GF on stage.

Sunday DH completely tore up the front yard, added a ton of top soil, seeded and fertilized, so hopefully come spring we will not have the most shameful lawn in the neighborhood.  I did some cleaning and ran some errands.

  • Happy Monday!

Nothing too exciting - but the weather was gorgeous, and I was able to hang out at home and get some things done on Saturday, which was pretty great :-)

Sunday - boo - I actually went into the office and worked, due to a big deal we're working on...but not to worry! I had my Sunday Ticket on the go on my personal computer right alongside my work LT, so no football was sacrificed at all...hehehe!!!

    Go Ravens, tonight!!!

Have a great week, ladies :-)

  • Weather has been incredible still this winter! I cannot believe how nice this weekend was! We got a lot of household cleaning done, which was desperately needed. Saturday we had some friends over to watch the game, then Jeff and I went out for supper. Was nice to hang out just the two of us for once. Sunday was football and laundry. Not too busy, but I love that! : )

  • YAY for Holly and Lori for breaking the big news this weekend!  I bet it feels so good to be "out" with that biggg secret!!  Congrats :)

Our weekend was pretty uneventful except for a family party on Saturday.  Other than that, we had a "veg-out" weekend, which we needed.  This week will be pretty busy at work, and a busy weekend coming up.  It was beautiful weather, though, which always makes me happier!

  • Weekend was good! We had beautiful weather for the cider mill on Saturday.  We had a nice lunch, did a hayride and Amanda went into the haunted barn with my friend Jill since I don't set foot in those things.  I stayed outside with Jill's girls and their friends.  :)  Later in the evening DH and I had dinner at a bar in Trenton then hung out over my cousins' house and went in the hot tub.

Mom made it home safe from N'Awlins and had a great time but came home with a cold.  Not too much going on this week.  We've been invited to 2 halloween parties on Saturday; one at a good friend's house and one at the house of a frat guy I went to school wiht and his wife.  We have Amanda this weekend so I don't think we're going to be going to either one, but we may hit a corn maze Saturday evening.  My cousin wants to go after hearing about the one Jill and her girls went to when they dropped us off Saturday and I'm sure Amanda will be up for it, too.  DH says he'd rather go to a haunted one.
