so I went to DSW yesterday (great coupon in hand too!) and it was sadly unsuccessful. I actually found a pair of leather Nine West boots that I really liked (not shiny or dull, good heel height, no platform, not pointy, too round or boxy toe...) BUT they hit my knees
and not in a good way. Well, first of all, being my height I will not wear OTK boots, but these weren't even OTK boots, on a taller person it would probably be just a couple inches below. It's so sad. And I guess it makes me more grateful that I found brown boots last year that I love so much because they are the perfect length on me. I would PIP the boots I found, but they aren't on the DSW website and I forgot the name :-/ ( also didn't see them on the Nine West website).
ETA: similar shape is this (no buckle and it isn't taller in the front than back)
Re: f/u boot thread a while ago
haven't tried there yet although I almost never have luck at the rack when it comes to shoes - I do want to go to Michael's next weekend though, so I might stop by

Is a Via Spiga boot out of the question? I had these for 3 years and they were amazing.

Aaand, don't knock OTK boots before you try them. I was thinking the same thing, but then I found some that work for short people. I wear mine all of the time now.
oh man, those Via Spiga ones are perfect (and the shaft height is only like 15 1/2"!), but yeah, I don't think they are quite in the budget right now
Maybe this time next year! The Nine West ones I found were $119 (and I have a $20 off coupon) so I was really excited about them. And those OTK aren't so bad, but probably not what I would get right now. thanks!
