If there was a global disaster tomorrow...
And you were barricaded in your house indefinitely, how long would the food you currently have in your house last you?
And as a s/o, do you have a zombie attack plan?
Re: If there was a global disaster tomorrow...
We have a lot of canned food and diet food that's packed with perservatives, so we'd probably last a while. The cats and dogs would be on small rations though.
No zombie plan here.
We have about a loaf of bread, lots of canned food, rice and pasta. We could last about a week or so I guess.
No zombie plan though, I need to get on that one!
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?

Ugh, I have hardly any pantry items! I knew we were unprepared. I think we could go about a week and a half comfortably and we could probably stretch it to three or four weeks if we were desperate before I would send H out to forage for more food. Luckily the dogs eat very little and we just ordered food so they would be good for at least six weeks and we could stretch it to at least two months.
My zombie plan is to head towards the water. We would steal a boat (because stealing is okay after an apocalypse) and stay off land indefinitely. We'd stop at boat gas stations or something. H would pump gas and I would protect our boat and the dogs.
About a week or so, depending on B's mood. Sometimes he barely eats anything and others I feel like I'm at Publix every day because he's a freaking garbage disposal.
We have no zombie plan.
We absolutely have a zombie plan but I'd have to kill you if I told you.
Probably a good two months with our pantry and freezer storages. We wouldn't be gorging ourselves either though.
We are also of the 'head to the water' idea in the event of a zombie apocalypse. But a sailboat and extra oars will be needed. Gas stations won't be refilled with gas after a certain amount of time.
This is a good point. Maybe we would switch to a man powered boat after the gas ran out everywhere because I don't want to use an oar for any extended amount of time. Maybe a zombie attack would force me to be less lazy.
We would be royally effed. Although the girl scout cookies would last us at least a week now that I think of it, and I could probably get another couple of days out of real food, but that's probably it.
DH has a password-protected disaster plan that we are giving to each of our parents in the next few weeks. I don't think we covered zombies, though... I used to think DH was uber-prepared, but now I'm starting to think he really dropped the ball.
In all reality I'd probably eat a bullet in the event of a zombie attack.
We could last maybe 2 weeks since we just shopped this weekend.
We don't have an official plan but there has been talk of staying in our house as long as possible. We would be okay since we've got a privacy fence as long as we only have walkers. If the zombies wind up being climbers we would have to move on.
We could probably last 2 weeks, maybe 3.
We do not have a zombie attack plan.
