Anyone ever sew a cloche hat?
Lurker and occassional psoter coming out: I made my daughter a cape last year for Christmas out of black wool and had bought an adorable cloche plaid hat for her to wear with it. I just bought myself a Kate Spade black cloche hat and was thinking it would be cute as a little girl's hat and can't seem to find a black wool one--lots of cute red ones and plaid again, but was thinking of potentially making her one out of the leftover black wool I made the cape from so that I could replicate the bow from the Kate Spade one...I've never sewn a hat before--anyone ever done this? is it hard to ease in the curves and such? Any info or suggestions on how to sew a hat with the least amount of trouble would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
