Seasonal Jobs-where do you think would be fun to work?
So, I am not having much luck in finding a job in the field that I just graduated from but I figured I would start applying to some places to work seasonally.
Where do you think would be fun to work?

Re: Seasonal Jobs-where do you think would be fun to work?
(don't work at Victorias Secret. I used to do seasonal work there years ago, and it was awful. The underwear tables were always a mess.)
I love Christmas so I would probably love working somewhere like Feeney's for the holidays. Feeney's is in Feasterville so it's no where near you but some place like that would fun.
I worked in the mall at Christmas for many years and I think it's the worst thing in the world. People are stressed, pushy and rude.
I just stopped by Williams Sonoma on my lunch break, and I seriously considered picking up an application for a seasonal job. They had a lot of their holiday merchandise out and were making cider on the stove behind the counter. It seemed so festive. Sur La Table might be fun too.
Agree with PP about Victoria's Secret, for exactly the reason she mentioned. Also, the guys that come in around the holidays to pick out gifts for their wives/girlfriends (or both, in the case of one customer I had to help during my time there) are more annoying than the ones that come in at any other time of the year.
Some place where you could use the discount!
I'd work at Williams-Sonoma if I had a choice but just because I love to cook/bake. I wouldn't want to work in store that had a lot of stuff to restock/reorganize like a clothing store.

Icks-nay on the Errain-Tay. Close family member worked there...trust me, you won't get enjoyment out of working there.
Like PP said, how about a place for the discount--could you work at Lowe's for house stuff? I think Wegman's is a good idea, too! And, they are opening a new one in KoP soon. How about a server at banquets or catering hall? It can be better money than a regular serving job.
Hmm-I didn't think of WS-might have to go fill out an application there!
I will probably stay away from clothing stores-I did that for 10 years already and don't know if I feel like doing it again!
T-I actually applied for a p/t position at Wegman's-hopefully they will call me at some point!
Food service is also an option I hadn't considered-thanks guys!
I hate retail. To many years worked
You use to work for nordstroms right? I don't think anywhere can touch their hourly
Lachute-Yes I worked there for 10 years on and off. The $$ can be awesome because it is commission.
I actually didn't mind retail-I actually love the people aspect of the job even though sometimes the customers were really difficult
I just hated the commission environment and all the shady stuff and back stabbing from the other employees
I doubt any seasonal job will come close to the $$ I made around holiday there. I just feel like I am not making any $$ sitting on my butt applying for X-ray jobs so I might as well be doing something...Plus I am going crazy being home all the time!
Maybe you'll have luck with the new Montgomery Hospital opening up!
Do you like arts and crafts? Perhaps AC Moore or Michaels.
Ikea?
I always thought Whole Foods or Trader Joes seemed like cool places to work.
One of the sports venues in the sports complex?
Something at one of the local colleges or hospitals- they often have jobs on their websites and maybe if you got into a hospital doing say food service or something else part time, you would be able to get an x-ray gig.
Good luck!
I am keeping my fingers crossed! I would be able to walk to work!
Hallmark stores have good hours. Martinsgirls, I think the Norman's Hallmark on DeKalb is hiring.
Excellent suggestion! I worked at a Hallmark in college and the hours and discount are pretty great. The customers aren't as rude as most other retail stores bc I think most people aren't there to browse. They come in with something specific in mind. Good luck!

I heard that a lot of the staff is getting the ax to bring in people from other Einstein Hospitals. :-/
