Mylicon

anyone used these drops? I was at the grocery store today and they didn't have it. So I am assuming Babies R Us has it...

AJ is extremely gassy during and after his feedings. He is currently on Simalic Soy Isomil so the doctor doesn't want to start playing with the formula yet. The doctor recommended we try the drops before we talk about prescribing something to him since he is so small. Thanks :)

Hello. I've waited here for you. Everlong<3<br>

Re: Mylicon

  • I think just about all of us have used these ;)  Babies R Us will have them.  If not try Target or Walmart too.  You can put them directly in the bottle if you're having trouble with him taking it from the dropper.

Try burping him after each ounce when you're feeding him and making sure he's upright after he's eaten.  That might help with the gas also.

    GL!

ETA: I completely forgot to mention that I used to give them to A when he was having bad gas as a baby and they worked for him. Never tried the gripe water since the mylicon worked for us but I've heard good things about it too.

  • We used mylicon a lot and it definitely helped.  We also used gripe water which we loved even more.  It is all natural, made of fennel and ginger and you can use as much as you want.  It saved us when LB started having gas issues.  Can also be found at target, walmart and any walgreens..cvs.  GL

  • The brand name ones were recalled shortly free Jack was born. I never once used them for him. Then again he didn't have an issue. C needs something now but we are going to try Similac Spit Up. My insurance covers it so I am waiting for that and Probably getting the other sensitive too. I have gripe water also. Little Remedies makes it I believe.

  • We used the Mylicon drops and bought them at BRU's. They come in a blue box. I used to give them to T right before he bottle and she would be pretty content after.

  • We used to give E the mylicon drops for gas. My MIL also made him her own gripe water. He wasn't extremely gassy though so we didn't use either that often.
