Has anyone seen this show? All about people who survived these crazy, terrible things. OMG, it sucks you in and you cannot turn it off! Well, I can't anyway! Last night was a repeat episode of a farmer and his wife who survived a chlorine gas accident near their farm.
I think the thing that makes it so awesome and hard to turn away from, is the way the people tell their stories. It's all so matter of fact, with no real emotion, sadness, anger, whatever. I think this may be my new fav show, so I just had to see if I'm the only one. lol
Re: I Survived....
DH and I love this show- the stories are so inspiring! The show has also helped us realize that we needed to have some emergency plans in place just in case something happens in our home/town, etc.
I remember the story of the farmer and wife in the chlorine train accident. Have you seen the Columbine one? I still get choked up thinking of that boy who lost his sister saying 'Forgiveness is like setting a prisoner free and realizing that prisoner was you.' Vapors!

My old youth pastor was on I Survived, Beyond and Back. He was a pest technician and checking out a crawl space under a house and was electrocuted and died. He was dead for about 5 mins before the homeowner revived him.
Its a pretty amazing story and a good show. It reminds me of Rescue 911 from when I was little.
