2nd Interview - help with ?s

On the first interview I asked questions relating the position.  For the 2nd interview can I ask things like the hours, if there is any overtime required, things like that.  Its been awhile since i have done this and I forget what is appropriate to ask on an interview.  What are the definite no's.  TIA

  • I'd approach it a little more diplomatically: what is a typical schedule like, etc

  • You can ask some of the same questions if it is a different person but I'd make them deeper. I met with 2 managers on my 1st and the CFO the 2nd. I had asked the managers questions about the job but the CFO I asked more about the overall company and his management style to make sure we'd be a good fit. He also had mentioned overtime so I asked more questions about that and the hours since he seemed to be more in charge of that.

If I'm meeting with a higher up employee at the second interview, I ask about the company.  I once had a interviewee ask what I liked best about the company.
