I don't know if this is going to confuse Emma because I like her guess so far.  But here's my 17 week bump pic if you care to test her guessing skills...heehee:

Edit:  We'll find out if she's right on November 10th.

  • Hey Lady!! I was going to page you and ask when you find out the sex.  We must have mental telepathy.

First off, you're flippin' adorable.  You look so tiny!! How have you been feeling?

Second, I just showed Emma the picture and she just said "Girl".  I don't know what to make of this because she has been adamant from the start that you were having a boy.  She was eating Cheerios at the time and might have been distracted though, so I'll ask her again later when she's in the mood to really concentrate and see what she says then. Wink

  • I feel really well, thank you!  I never did get any morning sickness or really bad exhaustion so I consider myself very lucky.

I knew I'd throw her off with the picture Stick out tongue  My SIL who is 3.5 weeks ahead of me found out she's having a girl and my other SIL just had a girl in July.  Those are both DH's sisters and I have four sisters so you might as well consider our baby a girl too, lol.  That's why I'm kind of rooting for boy to try and offset all this estrogen in our families.

How are you adjusting with Lily?  She is so adorable, I can't even stand it!

I'm glad that you've been feeling really good.  I had pretty easy pregnancies both times too, so we both definitely lucked out!

I just asked Emma about the picture again, and now she's back to "Boy". Yes

I've been adjusting to being back in baby mode really well.  Lily is such an easy baby, and her biggest "issue" is that she is constantly falling asleep whenever she eats so it's hard to make sure she's getting enough.  She's a bit of a "little peanut" in comparison to Emma, who was almost 9lbs at birth and LOVED to eat. You'll wake her up, she'll eat a little, and then promptly pass right back out. Then you just keep repeating the process, so it's a bit frustrating in that regard. I'm still getting used to the daily ins and outs of having two kids to get ready, get dressed, feed, etc. etc. etc.  I feel like it takes me hours to get ready to go anywhere now, so hopefully that situation improves over time. lol

Thanks so much for the compliments.  She seriously looks like a mini-me of Emma, who looks like a mini-me of what I looked like as a child.  I should post some pictures of the two of them (and me) all side by side and have people guess who is who.  It's pretty crazy.

Yay for being back to boy!

Well, sounds like you're getting into the swing of things!  At least Lily's been easy so you can get the hang of juggling both kids.  I think you spaced them out really well age-wise and that's great.  I know you pretty much had Emma potty trained and I'm sure she's self-sufficient to some extent but I can imagine it still takes awhile to get used to having two.  Bravo for doing a great job so far!
