Thanks to those who offered reassurance during my freak-out last week. Surprisingly, after being a mess much of last week, by Sunday I was actually feeling pretty sure everything was going to be okay. Not sure why, but I just felt more positive and wasn't even all that nervous this morning going in there.
Baby ELF is measuring right on schedule and we could see it's little feet and arms flailing around. As soon as the tech was ready to take the measurements, it was like baby knew and rolled over into exactly the right position for her to get the measurements she needed. Because my baby is perfect and will always be well-behaved. (Hey, don't rain on my parade).
We don't have the overall risk calculation yet because they have to combine it with the bloodwork results and give the report to our OB. But the NT measurement was only 1.1 (anything under 2.5 is considered normal), so based on that they said there's no sign of Down's or Trisomy and no reason to do any more invasive testing at this point. Such a relief.
Now to try to keep this happy feeling going as long as possible before I find something else to worry about. ![]()
