Adding crystals to a baseball hat ?

Is it easier/better to use the flat back swarovksi crystals and individually glue each one or the ones with the glue on them along with the little heat machine?

TIA

Re: Adding crystals to a baseball hat ?

  • I've used the hotfix crystals and was fine just using my iron, so no need to buy an extra tool.

  • I used the E-6000 glue that I used for my cake topper.

I bought some of this and think I'm going to go this route.  Do you remember what size crystals you  used?

    Thanks!

  • The size of crystals will depend on what design you want to do.  I used PP20/SS9 crystals for the STL logo on my Cardinals cap.

:-)  It's for my Cards hat too - hoping they can get out of this slump by tomorrow night :-)  I bought one all blinged out a few years ago, however, we had a house fire in 2009 and it was ruined.  I figured I'd save some $ and do it myself this time around.

    Thanks!

Yep!  Glad you're getting another one- my full rotation of 7 Cardinals hats has been in heavy wardrobe use of late!
