Possible moving to Alpharetta help!

Thank you in advance for the info.  My Husband has a job offer in Alpharetta.  We are from Ohio so are VERY unfamiliar with the area.  We have 2 little ones ages 2 and 4 I was hoping to get some insight on some part day preschool and any areas of town that are better then other I think we are going to rent at first just to get a little more familiar with area so any suggestions about that would be great too!  He will be working by Regency Hospital!

Congrats to your DH on his job offer! Alpharetta is a very nice place to live. And in Atlanta, the traffic sucks, so you definitely want to live near where you work. They have good schools, good parks, low crime, not too far from downtown Atlanta, and all those other things you want in a place to live. . As for preschools, you might want to ask over on the Atlanta Babies board, there are a lot more ladies with kids on that board.

Agreed. Check with the baby board for the schools, but maybe you could live closer to in town, possibly Sandy Springs? Then your DH would be driving against GA 400 traffic. When we say bad traffic, we mean BAD.

Area that are totally fine and drivable to Alpharetta: Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, Roswell, Johns Creek, Dunwoody.

Where is Regency Hospital? When I googled it South Fulton in East Point came up and that is nowhere near Alpharetta. He would have a horrible commute.
