Browns vs steelers: How to get back at neighbors?
Our house got TP'd, "forked" and decorated with Browns stuff while my DH and I were away for a Steelers game. We are from Cleve, but Dh is from the burgh. Neighbors had fun and tore up our front yard (in a good way!)
There were over 300 brown and orange forks stabbed all over our yard, orange and brown streamers hanging from the trees, flags on the mailbox, yard, as well as toys for our kids. Of our 10 neighbors on our cul-de-sack, 5 houses were involved. It was ALL in fun!
We want to get them back...but we want to get them ALL back! Any ideas? And any ideas that are not that expensive?
Thanks!

OMG how funny and awesome. Do you have pictures to share?
I have no idea how to get back at them.... I am terrible at that sort of stuff.
Heinz ketchup packets, black and yellow streamers, black and yellow balloons, use the fork idea too, or:
Hi there! I'm from Cleveland and DH is from the 'Burgh too- we're both Steelers fans. I happened to wander over and couldn't resist posting.
Do any of your neighbors park their cars outside? What about going out LATE at night with glass chalk (think homecoming/just married style) and write a bunch of "go steelers" stuff on windows?
What about painting sidewalks with homemade sidewalk chalk paint- alternating colors of black and yellow?
Could you wait, too, to see the outcome of the first Browns/Steelers game and then take out a page ad in the local news paper listing all of your neighbors (first names) congratulating you and DH on the win and acknowledging the Steelers superiority?
What your timeline for paybacks?
Well I'm a Browns fan, so I think you should embrace it and keep the decor up.
But in all seriousness, I think it's awesome you and your neighbors have such a great relationship. PP had some good ideas--especially with the cars, that's easy and cheap. The first rivalry game is in Dec so I don't know how feasible sidewalk chalk is, but you could "paint" the snow on the yard. Actually, if it's freezing temp, the car thing might not stick either. I guess you'll just have to join your neighbors in cheering on the Browns.
Dubious.
