Quilters - batting question....
If Ive washed all the material for the quilt do I wash the batting too? Or does it not matter.
I think the batting I have is Dream angels cotton batting if that makes a difference. It is for a crib size quilt (which will get washed) and also another quilt that is maybe a double crib size quilt for a wall hanging.
If I was to wash it before I quilt it how do you recommend washing it? I have a front loader machine....
TIA for any help.... can't wait to finally get these quilts done.... Nathan arrived a month early and threw all my nursery plans out! ...now Im trying to catch up on lack of sleep and the nursery!
Our little boy arrived 4 weeks early!

Re: Quilters - batting question....
Yeah, I would never wash the batting separately from the quilt.
I know some people rinse it and let it hang dry (NEVER in a machine), but I use Warm and Natural (or Warm and White for primarily white quilts) and they don't have a nasty smell or any reason to prewash.
Also, I love quilt crinkles, so I never prewash anything.
Congrats on your new addition!
