bummed..
so i was going through my computer for my folder we had conveniently labeled "my wedding"....it has our final guestlist (with addresses of everyone we knew), budgets, templates for my invites, etc etc etc..everything wedding related in it (thankfully not the *official* pictures)......
well, it's gone. we had a virus on our computer earlier this year, and h decided to reformat our computer. he's pretty good about saving all our docs, videos, pictures, etc..but he missed the folder that said "my wedding"......and now it's gone.
the absolute worst part about it is that we lost a copy of our vows. i had our vows printed on pretty paper, and was going to put them in our display case after the wedding..but somewhere sometime after the wedding, they never got back to us. i had been meaning to (for over 2 years now), reprint, remount, etc so we can at least have copies in our display case..but i never did (yah yah....)
i looked for photos of the vows, and we have them, but they are all artsy-fartsy and you can only read the top portion, and the rest of is faded/blurry/at an angle. i guess we can watch our video and retype them out completely......but the font that we used is also gone...and it was a special/downloaded font. heII if i know what font it is *now*!
so yah, i'm really bummed that our vows are gone 
some of the other things we lost are: our final budget/receipts..photos of all the venues we visited, prices, what we though of the food, etc....my dress-trying-on-experience, wedding show stuff...i'm pretty sure all my seattle-knot-mod documents were in there too....(totally not important, but nostalgic).. the list of who-gave-us-what (even though i know most of this by heart, the dollar values of the monetary gifts are gone).....

we're both pretty tech savvy and have gone through all of our possible flash drives, externals, etc...we don't have it backed anywhere.
and nope, didn't send the files to anyone cause nobody needs to know our exact financial stats on the wedding, or the guestlist/addresses of all our friends/family.
clicky for a little bigger. this is the closest-up/biggest picture we have of the vows...it's a basic font, but it wasn't a "standard" either.

I'm so sorry. It's hard and it sucks.
I'm missing 5 years of photos of my life because my ex-h didn't come through on the divorce agreement and in a haste deleted them. For a long time I kept telling myself that I had the real memories and it took a long time for me to convince myself of that.

Have you thought of checking all of your past posts on TK? I know I've posted my vows before (edited for names, but the main part still there) when someone asked for inspiration. Maybe you did too, or you might have posted stuff on any of the other info you lost (vendor reviews, stuff you might have PIP'd, etc).
It would be a tedious project to go through your past TK posts, but you might find some stuff there.

holy sht. TK stores posts forever (oldest post 828 days ago...that's sometime in july 2009)!!!!! TN only stores for 1 year or something, so i didn't try. i don't know if the vows are on there, since i sorta dropped off TK when it got close to my wedding, and we didn't have vows solid till very close to the end...i probably won't find my vows, but this will be fun to just read through!!!

How sucky!!! I'm so sorry!
I can feel the pain of lost documents since I lost most of mine last December. I was half ecstatic that at least the wedding stuff HAD successfully backed up.
I think you'll find some info on TK...it will be a lot of rereading old stuff which will be absolute torture since you hate everything to do with TK, Weddings, TN, etc

Oh no!! That sucks... I can't imagine having put that much work and effort into saving all that information and stuff and then having it just be *poof* gone.
