Sewers: dress forms. Which one?
I'm thinking about asking Santa for a dress form for Christmas. I've been on PatternReview.com and just can't really decided which one I should get. What I don't want is one that doesn't do the job. I'd like to get one that I will have for a long time. Fabulous Fit was one that I had looked at, but the price was sky-high and couldn't justify it at the time. It looks like they've come down a bit.
Does any one have any recommendations?
TIA!
Re: Sewers: dress forms. Which one?
I had considered getting the 'Uniquely You' dress form. I like that it is soft and you can stick pins in it, and that you can use it for different people, just by changing/altering covers.
I do like the idea of the Fabulous Fit, but I don't remember how much they cost....just that they were more than I was thinking of at the time.
My problem with most dress forms is that they don't adjust where I need it most. I have a fairly small ribcage and large breasts, and most of the forms don't allow for that, or for large breasts in general.
I ended up not getting one, but it is something that I am going to revisit after we sell this house and move. I am looking forward to seeing the responses to this post.

That's what I have, too. I am plus size right now, so I didn't want a permanent version of me. You would think a duct tape version of myself would encourage me to lose weight LOL.
PAIF and SAIF welcome. IVF questions welcome, too.
I made one of those!
