What's Bugging You? Wednesday
And go.
Mine - my right shoe is still squeeking. I find it frustrating to shop for shoes at DSW, so I checked Zappos and found nothing in a reasonable price range for a black flat. Stupid.
Re: What's Bugging You? Wednesday
1. It irritates me when people say "sister in lawS" or "brother in lawS". It's "SISTERS in law" and "BROTHERS in law". Thank you.
2. I can't stand watching property shows on HGTV like House Hunters/Property Virgins when the couple (usually a young couple) can't stop obsessing over all the silly cosmetic things in a house they can't live with. "I think I saw a Cheerio on the carpet in the Living Room, so that house is definitely out."
3. Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, and Jennifer Hudson all annoy me. J-Lo and Beyonce seem like they try too hard to maintain this "I'm just the girl next door" mentality when they're clearly not and I have a feeling they're both Ho-bags in real life. I have no reason for not liking Jennifer Hudson other than I don't like her voice and the pants that she wears in the Weight Watchers (I think that's her thing) commercials are unflattering.
Can you tell that I didn't get much sleep last night and I'm a bit pissy? lol
This is probably going to make me sounds like a cranky pants, but all the birthday parties for our nieces and nephews are starting to bug me. Maybe I just don't get it because growing up, we never had big parties where we invited all the aunts and uncles, so it seems strange to me that DH's sibs keep inviting us to their kids birthday parties. With six nieces and nephews, that's getting to be a lot of birthday parties! And we're the only ones without kids, so I just end up feeling out of place the whole time. I don't want to hurt the kids' feelings but I'd love to find a polite way to get out of going from now on.
try endless.com also. Same concept as zappos...free shipping, free returns.
1. I have to write a check to pay another dog's vet bill because her sitters decided to feed three dogs who don't live together in the same room at the same time and there was a fight. Grr.
2. I have to call my landlord because there is a critter in my attic. It sounds like it's the size of a lab. It scares me. I just haven't had time to get the house clean since I got back in town Monday to be able to call him.
3. I'm not having any luck on my job hunt up in Detroit and I really miss my honey. It was so hard to leave after spending 10 days up there.
www.onlineshoes.com is good too. If you have a Discover card, you can get 15% cash back if you shop through Discover's site.

I feel the exact same way! I thought it was just me being weird and being an only child. I'm not alone...YES!!!!
Oh as a matter of fact, we have a nieces birthday party this weekend. We have 8 nieces and 1 nephew.
I'm so glad to hear I'm not alone! We have a party coming up in 2 weeks, so that's why it's on my mind.
DITTO.. except now I have a kid. Still I wonder what the right age is to cut off the kids from gifts?!?! Growing up I never got gifts from my aunts and uncles and I might sound cheap but combined with my H's family I have 9 nieces/nephews and 3 newly added step -nieces /nephew. It adds up and now that some of them are becoming "teens" do they really still need a family party?!? I sound terrible I know..
my super unsatisfying lunch is bugging me today... I'm eating a Campbells Select Harvest soup and it just isn't that fulfilling. It's like watered down real soup... I want some chicken fingers or nachos or else that is greesy or salty or unhealthy, lol...

Another bulb thing, my front flower beds look like someone came by and dug up a few of my bulbs, there are hole everywhere.. So now I wonder did someone steal my bulbs or did some creature take them..
You are so not alone. We skipped our niece's party a couple months ago and felt guilty about it. But we have to start withdrawing from this stuff. Birthday presents, Christmas presents and so on. We don't have kids so we just sit there wondering why we are there.
I'm really sorry peanutsmom, but I'm cracking up at this whole post right now. I hope no one stole your bulbs, that would be really strange. I also hope that your bulbs bloom!!!

I wouldn't have known there was a "right side up" way to plant them either, except a friend told me awhile back that she had her husband plant her's, and he put them all in upside down and none of them sprouted up and bloomed. But yeah, there is a way they have to be planted. I googled it when I planted mine. haha. Also, before I planted them, I showed them to my neighbor, who came out to see what I was up to. She said to make sure I dug them in deep enough because the squirrels would come by and dig them up. I have seen some digging spots since I planted my tulips, but nothing deep enough to get to the bulbs. I hope you have some success in the Spring!
This would annoy me too. Thankfully, FI's famiily is nice enough to schedule "group" birthday celebrations, where kids with birthdays close together get celebrated at one time, or the birthday gets celebrated with the closest pre-planned get together. Even better is that no one really excepts us to be at ALL of them.
I agree! I mean, does J-Lo REALLY drives a Fiat!? I don't think so!
LOL great, so you are comfirming that I did plant them wrong and something could have came and taken them... Thank goodness I only spent like $10 on them!!!! Oh well, if nothing comes up there is always next fall, maybe...
No worries! If you just dropped them in the holes, there is a good chance that some of them will bloom! Where did you find the inexpensive bulbs? I'm always looking for more to plant!

At Walmart, they are part of the Plant it Pink, Breast Cancer awareness fundraising event. I only got one bag of tulips and one bag of hyacinths.
Maybe your dad came by and planted them right side up? LOL

The fact that if I have a circle on a piece of paper, I still can't cut it on the lines and have it look good...lol. I am a horrible cutter. (Yes, this is random, but I'm making invitations for DD's birthday party. Luckily, my sister is a teacher and an excellant cutter, so now she's doing it for me, I love her!)
hahahahahaha!!! I love it!

You guys are cracking me up! Regardless of how you planted them, kzoo is right, you will probably get blooms. Plants have a way of finding a way to grow i.e. the sun. Squirrels really like tulips - they might be your digger! Good luck!
Thank you for agreeing. It makes me feel like less of a pissed off Ho-bag. lol
LoL....that's hilarious.
"What would you say your strengths are?"
"Well, I have excellent cutting skills"
