XP: What would you buy with a $100 Amazon gc?

My team just won a walking contest at work (logged the most miles over a month) and we each get $100 Amazon gift card.  Woohoo!

What would you spend it on?

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • A kindle.

    A kindle.

That was the first thing one of my team members suggested.  Not sure I really want/need a Kindle though.  I usually take books out from the library and, frankly, don't read as much as I used to (too many other hobbies).

I just realized that this is a very timely birthday gift from my company too as today is my bday! :)

And it's been nice seeing you back on the board, btw.  I know you've been back for a little while now but I kept forgetting to mention it.

Hmmmm....are there any cookbooks that may interest you? Any knitting stuff you many need?

  • LOL, Happy birthday! Cake I have my eye on 4 DVDs so that would use it up for me. I also have my eye on some brown boots. Or books. I don't buy books that much anymore but I have gotten into a series and there are 4 more that I want to have.

No cookbooks, I prefer getting recipes online with the reviews that go along with them.

I so do not need any more knitting stuff right now.  I unfortunately just bought a ball winder and yarn swift (but got a great deal on them), already have interchangeable circs, and I am banning myself from buying more yarn until I work through more of my existing stash!

Hmm, maybe I'll have to take a look at shoes.

pinkdutch, no kiddie stuff stuff for me for obvious reasons!  But the Oxo set could be cool, I love their gadgets.

  • Start doing your xmas shopping for other people? That's no fun, though.

If it were me, I'd buy decor, furniture, rug items, etc. Still decorating the house. Amazon has everything. What do you need?

My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

Hey there, stranger!  How goes the cupcake biz?  And how are you in general?  I miss you around here!

  • My first thought was some Japanese Amigurumi books, but there could perhaps be some home or decor items that you might like. Or wait until Black Friday/Cyber Monday to see if there any deals that might interest you? Sorry, I have not many ideas!
  • It's been a little while since I've made any amigurumi, but there are so many cute free patterns out there I have a hard time paying for them.

I'm in no rush to spend it so waiting for holiday sales is a good call.
