I saw in an earlier post that you are getting your phd in Communications. I went to AL and graduated in TCF. Who are some of your professors? I miss Reese-Phifer!
Re: ~~ren0919~~
When did you graduate??
In TCF, I've been working a ton with Dr. Copeland. I absolutely love him. Dr. Sparks is the other main person in TCF that I work with. I also do a lot of work with Dr. Bissell in the Journalism dept. I've had Dr. Evans, and of course, Dr. Bryant...
That's awesome! I started in the Fall of 2007, so we just missed each other.
I get emails all the time now from Dr. Copeland asking my opinion about things, because he likes the fact that I tell things to him straight. It cracks me up. I think 2006 may have been Dr. Sparks' first year - too bad you don't know him, he's really awesome.
What do you do now?
Oh that's funny! I miss Tuscaloosa... sometimes
I don't do anything remotely related to film now! Haha... I am actually using my minor in American Studies more than anything. DH and I are real estate developers at the beach, but it's not just a condo or subdivision. Our project is a Traditional Neighborhood Development with traditional architecture, brick streets - basically old style American living.
What are your plans??
I love Mr. O!!! I worked with him over the summer registering the incoming freshman and transfers. He is one of the sweetest people I've ever met!
My plans? All I've got so far is that I want to go to a University that is big on research. I love the research aspect, and the teaching to me is just...meh. I'd love to eventually do some political consulting, but that's for down the road. I generally study stereotypes in the media and politics/new media things (like, I'm about to do a huge study on the use of MySpace and Facebook and if it had any impact on getting college aged kids to go vote).
Right now I'm trying to figure out what the heck to write my dissertation on. I'm registering for dissertation hours in the spring, and I have no clue!
