How are you my friend?  Hang in there, Lily will sleep through the night eventually!  I kept telling myself that Kaitlyn did and that Joshua will too, esp. on those long nights.  It does get tricky doesn't it when you can't just rest when they rest because you have another one to keep an eye on when they're awake.  Luckily Kaitlyn was so good to play in her room until I got up.  She's still like that, I will wake up & she's already awake playing or just at her door, waiting for me.  I tell her to wake me up, but she still doesn't.

How's it been going?  Are you adjusting well?  Have you made it out shopping, grocery place, etc. (non doctor visit) w/both yet?

Still need to meet the little lady, and bring something over to eat (as soon as I figure out what I'm going to make....hmmm, that might be next year the way I'm going!).  Hopefully in Nov. things will work out.

Big Smile

  • Hey Kristine!!

Thanks for checking on me.  I'm doing alright.  Slowly adjusting to the daily ins and outs of having two kids to take care of.  I feel like first thing in the morning when they both seem to be waking up, and right around dinner time/bedtime are the most hairy times.  It feels like they're both pulling me in different directions and I swear steam is going to start puffing out of my ears sometimes. haha! Stick out tongue

Emma is really similar to Kaitlyn in that she'll bring books into bed by me and just read or quietly play with some toys on the floor while I doze in the morning for a little bit.  Lily seems to be sleeping all the time and was doing really well at nighttime for a while there, but the last few days she seems to be getting her "schedule" all mixed up and waking up more at night.  Emma started sleeping through the night at about 6 weeks, which was insanely wonderful.  She was also almost 9lbs at birth though, and Lily is still pretty little so I'm thinking it'll take a bit longer for her to sleep through the night since I know weight can definitely play a part in that.

I took them both to Costco the other day and we did alright.  I wanted to go to the grocery store, but I had no idea how to manage the logistics of that one.  I figured if I had Lily's carseat in the cart basket, and Emma sitting in the seat, then where was I going to put the groceries?! I figured it would end badly so I went to Costco where the carts are like small trucks.  It worked out well and we survived, so I rewarded myself with ice cream. Embarrassed

You definitely need to come over and meet her! The week of the 7th is pretty open.  Maybe we can set something up one day that week Smile
