Making it official - DMV ?
So I'm going to make it official and finally get a CA driver license next Friday. I've already made an appointment and completed the necessary form. I read online that I will be required to take a written test. Does anyone know if I need to take a driving test as well? I can't seem to find it anywhere on the CA DMV website.
TIA!
Re: Making it official - DMV ?
hi!
Good luck.
I HIGHLY suggest studying for the written test.
I laughed when people told me that and I didn't study. I ended up failing it 2 times, and so then I had to wait a week to come back and take it.
They ask a lot of specific questions about how many feet you can park from certain things. Stuff you need to memorize. Or I got unlucky and got 2 hard tests.... I dont know.
I just know the first 2 tests I got, I had TONS of specific questions that had nothing to do with common sense.
No you do not have to take a driving test. Only written. You can only fail it once and retake while there. After that you have to wait a period of time before you can retake it again.
I remember the one I took was pretty long... around 75 questions?
