Question for moms- what were you enjoying?
Hi ladies:
I am searching for food(s) that I will enjoy. Since becoming pregnant, everything tastes so bad. I am at the point where I am forcing to eat. So, can you tell me food(s) that you were enjoying during your pregnancy? Maybe I just need to increase my options.
Help a sistah out!
Thanks.

Re: Question for moms- what were you enjoying?
I ate a lot of bland food. I couldn't have much with seasonings or sauces. Simple cheese with bread or pasta, rice, scrambled eggs, pancakes. I had a hamburger with all the fixin's with french fries a lot. Fruit would cause acid reflux, but if you eat with milk. Its helps the acid go down.
I was craving mustard on almost anything, I ate it nearly daily. And I ate a ton of sandwiches (yes, lunch meat, the horror
) Later in the third trimester (and I don't recommend this by any means), I ate a lot of McDonalds. Ick!
This time around I'm really craving fruit for some reason. And occasionally PB&J sandwiches.

I have to tell you, your body will tell you what it wants. You'll come up with things you just "have" to have and it will come out of nowhere.
I HATE both potato chips and hot dogs. Yet, I was obsessed with salt and vinegar chips and ate hot dogs like they were going out of style. *Only the Oscar Meyer Nitrate/Nitrite free which for me were super hard to find.
One day I made DH drive me to Burger King (which was next to a Carvel) so that I can get an order of onion rings to DIP into my chocolate soft serve with rainbow sprinkles. Best part? I made him taste it and he totally liked it. LOLOL
Other than that, I ate really well. Craved fruit ALOT. So I was eating that in huge amounts. I also craved Vietnamese food. DH's best friend (since he's 7) is Vietnamese and owns a restaurant in Williamsburg. Amazing. I used to live in that place, or he'd just come to my house and cook me whatever I wanted. Love. I threw Srichacha on everything. lolol
Ok thanks for the tips. I hope my taste buds come around soon. I cannot get used to not enjoying food. On the other hand, if I am like this post pregnancy I will be skinny and sexy. LOLOL

I'm no help - after I got over my first tri morning (aka all day) sickness, I ate pretty much everythign in sight :-)
When I was sick first tri, all I wanted was carbs. Peanut Butter Capt'n Crunch was one of my go-to faves.
