That must be a party where no one drives because I think everyone would be way over the legal limit with those amounts!!
No kidding ... that's a lot!
I would never buy that much for a party. I plan for one drink per person per hour, and I still always have leftovers.
Then again, we're way beyond wild party days, we're among the youngest of our friends at almost 35. And we live way out in the suburbs where everyone has to drive to our house (no one would take a cab and there's no public transportation), so our guests have to drive home which cuts down on the drinking.
I would add that you should have non-alcoholic drinks available too. Some people don't drink, are the designated driver for the night, are pregnant, etc.
