Friday Chatter

Chelsea I had a dream last night about what your big reveal was today.  Get out of my head woman!

P.S. I was wrong.  I will FB message you what my dream was.

Re: Friday Chatter

  • I'm kinda sad that the Rangers lost last night. It would have been history making if they won.

DH took the truck to work today since the guy he car pools with was gonna be late. Oh well. I think it gives me a good reason to order pizza, not to mention, its freezing outside!

Haha! That's hilarious! I appreciate you girls that have commented on it. Definitely a labor of love. Can't wait to hear what your dream was! :)

  • Kathy - If you're lurking, I LOVED your pictures from your photo session!  You looked beautiful!  You're due date must be close, are you two ready?!?

Chelsea - I loved your photo shoot too!  That was an awesome concept, design, and some great pictures!  But, what was the e-mail about that you were waiting on a response for?

  • I woke up being so glad its Friday untill I remembered that I have committed to being here on Sat and Sun to decorate for Halloween.  Not a happy camper about it.

Chelsea- I commented on the blog but seriously that was a wonderful idea and great execution!

  • DH was awesome last night. After a stressful day I had to go study all night and he did the laundry, the dishes, and cleaned (I mean scrubbed down) the whole kitchen!

I can't wait to hand out candy this year! Our first year in our house it'll be great to do just be at home. Soon come the Thanksgiving decorating!!

We had a bite on international publication of the shoot, but the publication didn't end up taking it. She said it was because recently they turned down a poorly executed iPhone wedding, but that photog was a advertiser of hers, so she didn't want to take OUR shoot and risk losing an advertiser. Sigh. That's the way it goes. We've gotten a few more inquiries for national publication, so I'm just waiting to see what pans out!

  • I have a migraine. I can't take anything other than Tylenol because of TTC. Pretty much blows.

Chelsea - I liked the shoot quite a bit. I was reading my FB feed and completely abandoned the updates of everyone below you on the feed because I wanted to see the shoot right then.

Amazing Job!  Good luck with another publication picking it up!

Me too!   In fact I looked at it when I was getting ready this morning because I was so excited to see what the big surprise was!   Amazing, and I love the message/purpose that goes with it as well.

Thanks for adding me.. Those look awesome. Sorry you didn't get the national publication, hopefully the others work out.

Thank you girls so much, really. I don't want to bend/break the rules by talking about it too much on here, but your support really does mean the world to me!

And Leslie, I'm sorry about the migraine. That blows. T&P you feel better soon!

  • I stayed up to watch the game, and now I'm seriously dragging today.  As in, I rolled into work about 20 minutes late.  Oops.

Chelsea - I want to eat that cake.  Seriously - the whole thing.  It's just so pretty.

Funny story about that cake... Once the shoot was done, I picked up the cake to carry it to the picnic table so we could all have a slice. And I dropped it. On the sidewalk. SMASH. I nearly cried. But everyone busted out plastic forks and ate the top layer (that hadn't hit the ground), like that episode of Friends where Rachel & Joey eat the cheesecake off the carpet. Turned out pretty fun after all.

That's okay, because the zero period French teacher didn't show up at all.  Then, they make the mistake of telling our French teacher (who used to teach it and really needed the extra stipend) that the other teacher has already checked out of it.  I would post a bad name here for them but I am at school.

Today is costume day and my favorite two were:

    1)  One of the Metro PCS Guys (Tech Talk with Chad and Rajit)

    2)  One of the guys from Reno 911.

  • I posted on the blog also but DANG!  I love.  I sent the link to my sister and told her this is just another one of the many reasons why she needs you to be her wedding photog (whenever they finally get engaged!!)

Thanks so much Michelle! You are so sweet! Those pictures were taken at 34 weeks, and I am at 36 weeks now and "making some progress" according to my doctor's appt. yesterday. I can't believe I am one week away from full term! We are pretty close to being ready. The nursery is all set up, and I am planning on working until 38 weeks and then taking a breather hopefully before the baby gets here.

  • Chelsea,

So very cool! Your website told me there was an error with my comment, so I posted again. That's why there are two very similar comments in a row. Oh well. It's worth saying twice!

  • I am loving the weather today, ladies. Nice and cool, but still sunny. I saw a family sitting on their front porch carving pumpkins with two little toddler boys. This is just happy weather.

  • Everybody is quiet today!  Just to get things moving...

    What's for lunch?

    Weekend plans?

    Favorite Halloween candy/treat?

    Any tricks planned?

  • What's for lunch?

Leftovers from last night - sauteed spinach and zucchini with chickpeas in tomato sauce and couscous

    Weekend plans?

My mom's throwing a big party tomorrow night, so I'm about to leave work to help her get ready. I'm making four kind of cupcakes, plus I'm sure she'll need help with the other food and the decor.

    Favorite Halloween candy/treat?

I love candy in general, but I'm going to *try* to practice a little restraint this year!

    Any tricks planned?

Unless you count beating out everyone else for best couple costume, then no.

  • Chelsea- I'm a little late to see the pics, but I do love them!  And I love her dress!

What's for lunch?  I've been good all week, so I'm having Chickfila!

Weekend plans? Going to a Halloween party tomorrow night.  That's about it.  :-)

Favorite Halloween candy/treat? I love candy corn and those candy pumpkins.

    Any tricks planned? Nope!

  • I need to go find something to eat but I'm not really hungry.  We don't have any plans for the weekend which is fine by me.  Ben wants to watch the game tonight but  I seriously don't--I don't know what we are going to do about that.

We are not into Halloween and I don't know if we'll even hand out candy.

  • Chelsea - Love love love. The styling is perfection.

I've had a really rough week. Two of my dearest friends have decided to separate - she's moved back in with her parents. It was all her choice - I guess she just realized that, after three years of marriage, they didn't have much of a future.

It's so weird to me. They were such a wonderful couple - like peanut butter and jelly. Always supportive, loving. Then one day, she woke up and was like, "I don't EVER want to have children with him. I'm not where I thought I would be in my life. I'm not happy".

Obviously, I'm having a tough time with it. I'm trying to be supportive and there for both of them - not taking sides....but I can't shake this feeling that something more is going on with her and she's just not being truthful. Sigh. boo.

  • What's for lunch?

    Chick-fil-a

    Weekend plans?

School carnival with SD tomorrow morning and then running around with my mom.  Halloween party tomorrow night.  Dad's bday lunch is on Sunday and a message Sunday evening.

    Favorite Halloween candy/treat?

    The little pumpkins

    Any tricks planned?

    Nope, not creative Sad

  • Kate, sorry about your friend. That is such a hard situation to be in. It sounds like you're being the best friend you can, though, and sometimes, that's all you can do!

    What's for lunch?

Mack made chicken piccata, since we probably won't have a "real" dinner tonight. Yummmmmm.

    Weekend plans?

Tomorrow is our first Saturday off and at home since the last weekend of August, so I plan to do a whole lotta NOTHING.

    Favorite Halloween candy/treat?

I'm a sucker for chocolate, but other than that, halloween candy isn't my fave. All the "novelty" stuff seems to be waxy. I think candy corns are about the worst thing ever.

    Any tricks planned?

I plan to support the Rangers while they trick the Cardinals into giving them the World Series title. BAM.

  • Totally random, but it's what I'm thinking about-

Does anyone read That Wife? I do, and although I rarely share her opinions, I do root for the girl. She took my engagement pics, even. Her most recent post is just a comment that she liked, and she refers to the internet giving her a lot of attention for a recent post.

Well, I looked around and found what she's referring to, and really, she's being picked on for things that are pretty bizarre by most people's standards, ie: the baby sleeps in the bathroom in a travel-sized pack n play, 18 month-old still drinking from a bottle, tells her hubby how much cheese she eats daily, etc. Not what I was expecting, I guess.

  • What's for lunch?

leftovers - a healthy version of chicken picatta, brussel sprouts, and a potato and zucchini gratin.  Yum!

    Weekend plans?

Rangers tonight, going to CS tomorrow for some Aggie Football!  Whoop!  Sunday is with the IL's as it is SIL's birthday.

    Favorite Halloween candy/treat?

    Reese's pumpkins

    Any tricks planned?

    eh, no
