Hi,
I wanted to send this out since I know so many of you. My mom as some of you know has had Multiple Sclerosis now for 20+ years.
The
doctors are still amazed that she is able to walk with her disease.
She had decided this year to put her life in order and start
volunteering.
As a result, she decided to set a challenge for herself. She has signed up to walk for the American Heart Association to raise money for the charity.
She has been working with a physical therapist to be ready to walk the 3 miles for the walk-a-thon.
I'm
very proud of her for doing this. She's never done anything like this
before. She has a few nurses from the hospital where she works to
agree to walk with her.
She's been having trouble though getting
sponsors. Since its getting close to the end of the year and a lot of
people make charity contributions during the holidays, I wanted to send
this
out in case anyone is interested in donating money to the American Heart Association by sponsoring my mother.
Its very easy to donate through their website with a credit card.
Your contribution goes directly to the AHA through her sponsor site and the donation is 100 percent tax deductible.
No contribution is too small. Even 5 dollars helps the cause!
She's getting a little depressed because she's been working so hard to make the walk, and hasn't gotten any donations yet.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Re: Ladies, my mom could use some support!!
You got it!
I wrote...in support of Tonya's Mom...cuz I didn't jot down her name...LOL Hope that's ok. :-)
Awe!!!
Thanks so much Mia!!
Her name is Joy.
Thats a good idea too!
But i wanted to ask people that I know first.
It seems more personal. But it is a good cause so it might not hurt to do that.
I didn't realize that the website requires a minimum 25 dollar donation. If you want to participate and donate less than 25 you can send me the money and I'll lump it all together and make one big donation on behalf of the nesties.
