Charlotte: Staycation

Hey ladies,

Since my husband's job has been so demanding (12+ hour days every single day since July), we are taking advantage of his first weekend off the second weekend of November.

We didn't want to spend the money on a hotel, and since we are still new to CLT, we figured we'd do a staycation!

So far on our list is:

Saturday morning we're having brunch at Mimi's just for their pumpkin pancakes

Saturday night we're having dinner at Chima uptown.

Everything else is WIDE open.  Any suggestions for what we should do in CLT?  Any fun daytime activities?  Any other restaurants to eat at for Friday dinner, Sat lunch & Sunday breakfast?  (We like to eat...a lot).

 TIA!

Re: Charlotte: Staycation

  • To do: Discovery Place, Whitewater center, shopping at Concord Mills

If you want to drive west some I would suggest visting Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area

Resturants to try: Rock Bottom Brewery, Sullivans Steakhouse (reservations would help), Ruth Chris, Bentleys on 27 (reservations), Sticky Fingers, Open Kitchen

Have fun, a Staycation sounds like a good idea!

  • Bentley's on 27 is AMAZING...also would suggest the whitewater center.  Daniel Stowe gardens isn't too far away either.
