Good morning, will you be watching for the Great Pumpkin tonight?

Re: Halloween randoms
Good morning!
We will be watching some stupid scary movie tonight. I hate scary movies. B enjoys them and pouts that I'll never watch them with him. Several years ago, we struck a deal where I agreed that I'd watch a scary movie with him on Halloween (only) each year. So, yay?
I hate scary movies too. Good luck tonight.
So, I know many of you are at work, and probably can't get a thing done until you know what Matt Lauer is dressed as for Halloween. And because of all of the frenzy here in April... Go look a the the link. The video will load, but you'll see a still shot of the whole crew without watching the video.

I *hate* scary movies. Good luck, Kasa!
My parents bought us the Charlie Brown DVD boxed set for Christmas, so we have the real Great Pumpkin at our disposal anytime.

Yum. That sounds delicious.
When we were in Hawaii, we toured a coffee farm. It was neat to learn about how they grow, harvest, and roast coffee. There's a lot that goes into it! It gave me a better appreciation for coffee and why the good stuff can be so pricey.
And we of course bought some of their Kona coffee to bring home. Yummy.
I've decided to make it a better week this week. For a variety of reasons, last week was rough.
I'm going to try to readjust my attitude on my job, and hopefully that helps.
Also, we attended B's friend's funeral on Saturday. It was hard, but I think it did provide a certain degree of closure. I've also been doing some reading on this issue and that helped too. (ETA: And I talked to my mom. And she's my mom, so that helped too.
)
I also watched it tis Am, actually it is still on,
We brought more things home from the office this weekend and I can say it is nice to have the bigger TV back. The basement is looking better as DH reclaims it as the office/work space.
On the fitness front: I swam 10 laps at the Y this past Saturday! I did it with a kick board to try and improve my core muscles. DH was in the same lane as I was and I had this odd feeling of the tortoise and the hare story come over me as he lapped me a few time.
I would love to tour a coffee farm. So interesting! I bet the coffee you bought is amazing!
DH hates the Great Pumpkin, which makes me sad, because I love all the Charlie Brown holiday movies.
We will be going out to eat tonight so we don't have to hide in the back room. Our neighborhood gets very few trick or treaters so it's not worth buying a bag of candy that we really don't need to eat!
This sounds very positive. Hope this week is much better than last.
Not yet. Willa decided to go with a traditional jack-o-lantern on her enormous pumpkin. But... if I find 10 minutes later, I might try it myself on the other side. Henry and I did do a cute spider and a bat last night. We're lucky to be invited to a few events that include free pumpkins, so we aren't short on pumpkin surfaces.
What did you end up doing with your mushy pumpkin?
Fun! I love pumpkin carving.
Mushy pumpkin was infested with ants so it was thrown in the yard waste bin :-(
I dont get to wear my costume today at work - boss won't let me. Oh well.
Good Morning and Happy Halloween!
No plans to watch anything at our house - Andy has to bowl so I''ll be handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters.
I also hate scary movies and Andy loves them. He'll ocassionally whine about this, and I just tell him to go watch one without me. He started watching the Walking Dead series and loves that, but I have yet to even go in the room when he's watching it.
Glide away from my pity party for a moment, if you'd like. I understand.
We're on day 5 of Henry being sick with a cough. He and I aren't sleeping, he's crabby, or clingy, and we can't go anywhere. For the first day, I enjoyed the reason for downtime (he won't let me leave his side, so we watched cartoons in bed), but now I'm getting antsy.
And, on the other side: my poor buddy can't stop coughing. He's so sad with his little whisper voice. At 5 am, we were on the couch, and I asked him if I could get him anything. He said, "yes, please. A kiss." Awwww.
Awww...poor Henry. Allison and Amelia has had a cough the past week. Little Colds Honey Elixir worked for her. Then we ran out and Walgreens didn't carry that brand, so I got Hylands cold meds and that worked. And then Brian bought the night time brand of Hylands cold..let me tell you, bedtime has been really easy that past few nights with Allison.
I know you are probably trying to stay away from real cough meds, but last year I had to break down and get Delysm for Children for Allison. It was the only thing that controlled her cough and gave her some relief.
Does Wallgreens sell Hylands? Excellent tip. Thanks.
Oh goodness. What a sweetie. I hope relief comes to you both soon.
We use Hylands as well as some Similisan remedies, from Meijer. GL!
