Well, because it's Monday.
Re: B&M Monday
Yep, it's Monday. And last night, I had a nightmare that I complained about someone I know IRL on here -- and then found out that person lurks here and read it and was hurt. Ugh.
On the positive side, H and I whipped up costumes in about 30 minutes before our party on Saturday night, and we won prizes for them! I got "scariest costume" (I was a vampiress) and he got "best costume."
Michelle & Michael
Married - August '10
TTC - Since September 2011
If I have a niece, her name will be Ainsley Willow or Emberly Swayze.
Julie - do it!
No B&Ms here - I'm pretty happy this morning. I slept in, and Crispin was super cuddly, and I still made it to work on time. I had a wonderful weekend - James and I won a couples award at the party we went to, then yesterday I planted flowers & planned our meals for the week. I made up that Pintrest crockpot baked potato soup & tossed it in the freezer for Friday, and that's the meal I'm most excited about! Also, I am going to dress up again tonight to hand out candy, and I'm excited about that
... and how do you feel about those? I like the first names. Middle names... umm... Swayze??

Are you B&Ming about the name choices? I just want to make reeeeeeally sure I know where you're coming from before I comment.
5 more days!!
My "winter hands" are back...grrr.
Yup, They aren't my choices, but it isn't my child. It's their choice and I understand that.
I just remembered it is emberson not emberly.
I think when the child starts cursive swayze will be interesting.
Yep, it's their choice. I'll go on record though and say I don't think it's a good one. Emberson? Where... why... wha? And yes, Swayze is going to be rough to learn.
Good news is, they don't teach penmanship in school anymore!

Not feeling school at all today. But it is what it is. That's all I've got.
Bri- lol
Chelsea- It could be worse... I think it could be worse
I was having a good morning. Got to get SD ready for school today since it was dress up day. She is the cutest cat!
I left the house a little later than normal because I was getting her ready and it took FOREVER to get to work this morning. It wouldn't have been so bad if they had the lights synced up better on the William D Tate/114/121 bridge area. It took me almost 20 min just to get through that mess. Then they moved the entrance ramp for 114 towards Southlake/Westlake and it seriously freaked the cars out. I had a car in front of me driving in both lanes because they didn't know which one to be in and they were going 10-15 mph.
I have a headache. I think it's a sinus headache but it hurts and it making it hard to work. I can only take tylenol and it's one of those excedrin migraine type of headaches. I'm sick to my stomach my head hurts so bad.
After another company name change, there was an issue on my paycheck and they deducted my medical, vision and dental twice. I was on the phone with them and hope they fix it before my next paycheck.
Other than having to work from 11-6 on Saturday, the rest of my weekend was a blast! The Halloween party was a great time, we saw Paranormal Activity 3 on Sunday and I got new running shoes with a gift card left over from my birthday.
On baby names - one of my friends will be naming their son Kermit. It was her husband's grandfather's name. I have a feeling that child may be going by his middle name once he gets older.

I don't really have anything to B&M about. The weekend was exactly what I needed!
But when I logged on here this morning and saw the Book Club post, I got bummed out. My Sooners play at 2:30 this week so I will miss another book club and a chance to discuss a book I really love. BOO.
Our weekend was perfect and lazy and wonderful, so other than the TERRIBLE dream I had last night, I don't have anything to B&M about.
Seriously, though. Most terrible awful horrible bad dream I've had in a long time. I'm having a hard time shaking it today.

This is just a pet peeve of mine but I don't get why you name your kid one thing and then call them by another. Or if your intent is to call them by their middle name, then just make it that way from the beginning!
T&Ps. What type of cancer, if you don't mind sharing. I know it doesn't make a difference either way if it was caught late. They caught DH's dad's lung cancer late and he passed away 2 months after he found out.
Bill's middle name is William. His first name is John. I like John better. I also have several family members who go by their middle names and a bunch of students.
Oh I agree! When she first told me, I asked if Kermit was going to be the middle but the husband pushed for it to be the first name. I think they have all intentions of calling him Kermit, I am just guessing that if I were that kid that I would start going by my middle once I got old enough.

This and this.

Just do it!
That is so sad, T&P to your friend and her family.

My dad goes by his middle name and same with DH. Not sure how my dad came to do that but DH was given an option when he was around 5 or so.
T&P's for your friend and her family, Deepthi.
Every Sunday night, I think about quitting my job so I don't have to leave the baby on Monday morning. Every Monday morning, I psych myself up to go to work for another week.
On baby names: Emberly would be better than Emberson. That's not a name. At least it's not Embyrsyn. My most significant ex's kids are named Takota and Taitym. That's one fake name, and one trykked up name.
I have a friend who just named her girl Natalie Gray, but they have no intentions of ever calling her Natalie. It's just Gray. I know a lot of people do that with boys, but her family has interesting girl names. For example, her sister, mother, and grandmother are all named Bethia.
Cancer caught too late super sucks. I'm sorry.
I guess I never understood why parents give their child a certain first name and just assume that the kid will go by their middle name later in life. My child has my mother's name as her middle name, because I wanted her to go by her first name (that we gave her)... I just never thought to do it any other way.
Maybe this is weird of me too, but on the names note - I've always thought that middle names should be a family name. Some sort of tribute to someone... my next child's middle name will be Faye (for my grandmother) or William (for Andrew's grandfather)... that's just the way I think it should be done. My sister's middle name is Bailey, and so is my dad's and his dad's too... I like family traditions with middle names.
