Yup.
Going into Saturday's game, I was nervous. I mean, Baylor does have a Heisman candidate QB. But, the Cowboys played like a Top 10 team with a 59-24 win. I have NEVER seen our defense play that well. Baylor would march all the way down the field, get to the Red Zone and BAM. Our D would show up and stop 'em.
I can't believe we're ranked so high in the BCS. Holy wow.
Michigan State lost - as you know - but I didn't watch it since I had to work.
Detroit Lions won though, so I'm cool with that.
Auburn beat Ole Miss so I was happy.
I was also very, very happy to see Clemson lose! Absolutely can not stand Swinney.

Why? Everyone seems to love Swinney and I have never seen him do anything that would make others hate him.

Clemson and Auburn are pretty big rivals, from what I understand.
I was excited to see Clemson lose, but for different reasons. Go Ramblin' Wreck!
The thing is, we really aren't since we're not in the same conference. We hardly ever play each other.

My mistake. I thought y'all played each other somewhat frequently.
No, I definitely wouldn't consider it a rivalry. You may be thinking of the similarity of the two schools. A former football player from Auburn went on to be the president at Clemson and the "father of Clemson football" since he started the team there. The campuses look similar (i.e. Clemon is Auburn with a lake), same mascot (not an accident) and so on.
I just don't like Swinney. I don't like the way he acts and his antics. I've never been a fan but the comments that he made after the Auburn game were just wrong. I understand he was excited about beating us, and rightfully so, but he should have kept the focus on the fact that Clemson beat us and not him....and, if I were a fan of Clemson, and my head coach said that after one of the biggest wins in (recent) school history, I wouldn't exactly be thrilled with it.
He just isn't my style, he's incredibly arrogant and showy and I'm glad he lost.

What exactly was it that he said that was so bad? I don't remember hearing anything. I think it's great the way he gets so excited about his team. Even though we lost on Saturday, he has brought them a long way since becoming head coach. I think he is very genuine and his excitement is very real. You can tell he really cares about the team and its players.

Well..of course you like him. You are a Clemson fan and your team is doing well. Nothing I say will change your mind. If you didn't take issue with what he said, good for you. I think it was classless. I wouldn't want an Auburn coach saying something like that after a big win. But maybe that's just me...

Late to the post, but it was a great weekend to be a sports fan in the state of Missouri.
The Cardinals won the world series.
Mizzou beat A&M.
Rams beat the Saints.
Chiefs beat the Chargers.
Good weekend for me.
And the state of the week award goes to..Missouri. Good gracious it's been an awesome few days for you guys.

Oh for crying out loud, I never said I was offended by what he said. Trust me, nothing an idiot coach could say in a post game presser would offend me.
I just said I've never liked him and that his classless comments after the game did nothing to change my mind.
Not everyone likes him. Not everyone likes Clemson. It is ok. Really, it is.
I know a lot of people don't like Auburn or our coaching staff and I'm fine with it. I also know a lot of people wanted to see us lose last year and were happy we went lost this year. I'm fine with that, too.
