Roll call

Who is around?

What did you do today?

If you handed out candy, what was the cutest costume you saw tonight?

Re: Roll call

  • I'm here, debating on going and cleaning my kitchen and eating something for dinner. I worked today and other than that haven't done much. I'm not handing out candy. E is at school and we decided that it was not safe for me to be handing out candy alone, even though we live in a safe neighborhood. So I'll probably camp out in the living room until later.

  • I am here briefly.

Today I was supposed to work 9 to 2, but ended up being there from 9am to 8:30pm setting up holiday displays. I feel like my feet are going to fall off. Annnd we didn't even finish so I have to be back there at 9am tomorrow morning to keep working, since apparently all the other employees suck at doing the displays.

There was trick or treating at the mall, and the cutest costume I saw was a Little Bo' Peep!

How cute! I saw a little penguin in Target at lunch. Super cute.

  • I'm here. Our apartment banned door to door trick or treating so no cute little kids to watch. :( ... naturally I'm knotting and watching Hoarders. There is a crap ton of stuff on base, but we decided it was best to avoid it.
  • I'm here. H is on swings so I'm making soup, watching Hocus Pocus and looking around online for new jobs.

I had no trick or treaters tonight :(

  • It's only 6:15 here so trick or treating just got started. I've had a lot of kids so far which is good because I went crazy on candy.

I lounged today most of the day only getting up to do some dishes and make dinner.

  • Present!

I went to work today, came home and ran, and then handed out candy.

We only had 11 tick-or-treaters.  The cutest was probably Raphael, the TMNT.

  • I'll be in and out for a while.  I have laundry to fold.

So far, we haven't had any trick or treaters.

  • I'm here.

I slept in (I got off work at 2am).

    I went to the commissary.

    I read a book.

And I have candy to hand out....but no one came. Sad. :(

  • I'm here! We were supposed to get the results from D's transfer request today, but they never posted it. Oh well, fingers crossed for tomorrow!

No trick or treaters here, but we lit our carved pumpkins and put C in her pumpkin outfit! So I would say she is the cutest thing I have seen :)

  • I didn't really do anything much today. Nothing of note.

we did not get a single trick or treater. It made me a tiny bit sad, and almost made me miss the Jr enlisted Airmen coming by for candy at our last base.

  • I'm here. We took LO to a few of our friends' houses and handed out some candy until his bedtime.

I didn't really see any costumes that stood out this year... My neighbor's kiddo was an adorable scarecrow. Everyone else was pretty un-original...

  • I'm about to go to bed. I was just sending my sister an e-mail. She called me earlier for advice because her best friend is waaaay over-feeding her 10 month old baby (my sister's godson). He weighs 34lbs, which is beyond off the charts. 34lbs is the 75th percentile for 3 year-olds. So I forwarded her some info on normal infant growth and healthier feeding, as well as some info about car seats because at this rate, he's not going to be able to stay rear-facing until 2 like the AAP recommends since the max capacity for a rear-facing seat is 40lbs.

  • We had 20 ToTers. That's it. I was pretty disappointed in the turn out. The best one was a Dorothy (Wizard of Oz). The last group was 3 slutty tweens that were also really disappointing.

  • Quickly checking in prior to going to bed.  It's been a long day and I'm exhausted.

I took DD out ToTing to a few of our neighbor's houses.  It was sooo cute to watch her ToT for the first time.  The first lady put a piece of candy in LO's pumpkin and LO didn't know what to do.  When we went to the next house and the owner dropped a piece of candy in LO's pumpkin, LO took the first piece out and put it in the homeowner's basket - like a trade!

I then turned on the porch lights and handed out a bit of candy.  Only about half the kids were in costumes.  The cutest was a little boy dressed as a firefighter.

DW arrives home tomorrow night so I better go hog the whole bed for the last time :-p

  • I'm here! Although I'm a lurker... and this is my first post on this board... haha.

We had a crapton of kids this year... Last year we had none (we live in a relatively new neighborhood) so we just bought a couple small bags. I definitely had to race to the store and grab a bunch more before we ran out!

The cutest was this little girl in a princess costume. She was itty-bitty and looked up at H with a "twick o-wa tweeeeet" and he just melted. He has mild baby fever. :P

  • eeeee first Halloween in a house instead of an apartment complex! Got way more kids than I was expecting, next year I will have to buy more candy :) The cutest costume I saw was a little girl dressed as a fire fighter (with a cardboard fire truck around her) and her baby sister was dressed as a dalmatian! It was so sweet watching her help her little sis walk around! :)

I was also impressed by the good manners that *most* of the ToTers had!

How tall is the kid? My DD is a MAJOR curve buster so I'm just curious about the height to weight ratio on this. DD well outgrew her rear facing before she was 12 mos. so I remember that being a dilemma I had to deal with personally.
