Are you getting trick or treaters?

How many? What time did they start coming? What's the norm for you in terms of numbers, ages, etc. And what is the best costume you've seen tonight?

Re: Are you getting trick or treaters?

  • I'm not sure when they started coming. We had a neighborhood party that started at 4:30, and I saw some kids walking around during the party. This is the first year that I've been home here for Halloween, so I'm not sure how it compared to last year, but dh said we've had more this year. We've had kids of all ages, from itty bitty babies to older teens. I think we've had at least a hundred so far. Best costume was a giant rubiks cube, with a slot to put the candy in.
  • I'm so disappointed! We only had 4: two little girls both dressed up as Superman (but they were so, so, so cute), and two teenagers (who were dressed up as cowboy/cowgirl, I think...). That's it :( I guess I'll return the big unopened bag of candies to Costco.
  • Yeah, we had one group of three come by, then our friends with their three kids. That was it.

  • We got a mass of kids around 8.  I did a mixture of candy, spider rings, bat erasers, pencils and glow sticks. All have been a hit.

  • We got quite a few.  They seem to have stopped now so I feel like we can go to bed.
  • We got 53 this year, which is double what we got last year.  The first little kid was right around 6 and the last kids we got before turning off the lights was around 8:45.  Somebody stole one of our pumpkins, but left our decorations so that was good at least.  We had some really cute little kids, but also a decent amount of teens (at least most of them had a costume).
  • We got about 6 kids total.
  • We had a lot of kids.  I didn't count, but somewhere between 50 and 100.  We ran out of candy and turned our light off around 8:30p.  Best costume?  One kid was a metronome.  That was cute.
  • Forgot to hang the sign our complex gives out that says "trick or treaters welcome" so there were no knocks. Kinda bummed. I wanted to give out candy!
