My first name is actually Marie-Etta, which most people incorrectly pronounce as Marietta. The hyphen throws people off. I went through a phase in high school where I was sick and tired of my name being said incorrectly and started going by Etta. I finally embraced the uniqueness of my name in college, but still use Etta for my blog.
Re: **MommaK.not**
I love it!
My mother's name is Etta Elizabeth but she hates it! Hates it so, that she goes by another name (a derivitive of Elizabeth). Her grandmother's name was Maetta.
I agree with you-that it is unique, and that is a good thing. I love unique. I tell my mother that all of the time but, well, you know mothers!
