Have you started writing yet?
I started this morning. I think I mentioned I am cheating a bit and using a story I already started, but I am going to try to write 50k new words for Nano (I had about 10k when I started this morning, so I need to total 60k on the story to do it).

Re: Today is Day 1 of Nano!
Yes!! I started this morning and am sneaking in some writing throughout the day ... I want to sit down and just hammer away at it but there's work and all. Sigh.
I was hoping you would reply to this - which one did you decide to do?
The contemporary one - it just wouldn't leave me alone! Are you doing the cowboy one?
I am!
I started way back in October, because I really don't think I'll be able to get it all done in one month...
I checked the status line on Word and thought it said 1837 words and I was all "woo-hoo"ing in my head. Then I realized it was telling me 1837 characters, and 375 words. So I'm already behind.
But honestly, not as behind as I expected to be, because I actually started. So there's that ...
LOL! It's good that you started though
I'm about 3000 words in now. I have a VERY vague outline so things could get interesting on the way to the known plot points.

The concept of writing a novel intimidates the hell out of me, so I wont be participating, but I'm happy to read, lend support, etc.
P.S. you crazies got a shout-out in my latest blog post. (click the sig, b1tches!)
Currently Reading: Don Quixote by Miguel De Cervantes
I went a little crazy and have hit 9200 between last night and doing little bits this morning. The story is going to take more than 50,000 words to tell, I think, which is fine, I just hope I can keep up the momentum!!
Is anyone using a novel writing program? I just have a giant-azz Google Doc and I keep wishing for virtual post-its and stuff. Editing this thing is going to be special, lol.
Holy crap Interro, ROCK!
It's so good to build up extra while you can because I always find that once you miss a day or two, it gets frustrating and you feel like you're trying to "catch up".
I was going to ask if you wanted to hit Starbucks and write together but you sound like you don't even need to!

Thanks imoan!!
The first few days are like a new relationship, lol. By week 2 I may be dragging, but so far I'm really into the story.
And BBE yes let's do that! Text me!
