Is anyone else excited that Halloween is over?

DH and I aren't big into Halloween at all, and leading up to T-giving it feels like it's getting so close to Christmas (so in a few weeks we'll really start to feel Christmas-y around here).

Re: Is anyone else excited that Halloween is over?

  • I actually enjoyed Halloween more this year than I have in a long time!  Seeing it through an almost 3 year olds eyes probably plays a role in that. :)

  • I agree with PP - I enjoyed Halloween more this year than I have in the past. DH and I went to a pumpkin patch, decorated the house, carved pumpkins, attended 2 Halloween parties, and passed out candy, so it was pretty fun.

That being said, I am ready to move on to Thanksgiving. I am really looking forward to the final 2 months of the year :)

I agree that we definitely had a better time this year than any other (all of our boys had an incredible time), I'm just so ready for what I consider the "holiday season".

I hear ya!  I'm actually really looking forward to Thanksgiving - we're hosting it in our new house!

  • I've never really been into Halloween either. Even when I was little I didn't really get that excited about it. I love Thanksgiving and Christmas though. I won't be able to see my family this year for either holiday :o( but I'm still looking forward to them.
  • Yes!

I hate Halloween.  Never been my thing.  Even as a kid, I didn't quite understand why people really went crazy over it.  To each their own!

  • I am so excited for thanksgiving, Halloween is fun but we don't really do anything [no kids/no trick or treaters] so its more like just another day. I love the holiday season, we're having a small get together for thanksgiving/christmas at our place for the first time and I can't wait

  • I am a little, but I didn't really feel the Halloween vibe because of the snow we got.  I am already in the Holiday spirit, but only again because of the snow fall, and it is my son's first Christmas/Thanksgiving!

I can see how that could be part of it.  My LO is only 7 weeks old and I was excited for this year.  (until the snow).  But I cannot wait until he is 2-3 and knows what is going on!!

  • No.  I'm not big into Halloween at all but that means it is the start of the busy holiday season at work that I never look forward to at all.

  • I enjoy the childish aspects of halloween now that we have two kids like dressing up and and ToTing.  However, I can very much do without the horror and the gore.  DD has been having nightmares the last two nights so I am just glad she won't be scared everytime we drive by our neighbor's lawn.

And yes I am very excited about thoe upcoming holidays.  One November hits It start daydreaming about Thanksgiving Turkey.  I just love it.
