I wish I could institute some kind of pumpkin composting program in my neighborhood! I'd love it if everyone dropped off their pumpkins

It would be so nice for my compost! That being said, every year I get pumpkin plants growing out of my compost bin.

Good idea! We had peppers, tomatoes, and potatoes growing out of our compost. We just hack them up with a shovel and shove the plants back into the compost pile. Once you hack them up once or twice they don't grow back.
