Britax Boulevard owners, safety issue with straps-advice needed

I have a Britax Boulevard 70, up until recently it's been a great carseat. I am going to try to explain this as best I can since it has now happened twice to me. The issue is after I put DS in his seat, get him buckled in and secure the chest clip I then lift the strap in between his legs to tighten and get him secured in. Twice now, when I go to double check and pull on his straps around his chest to make sure he is in secure enough nothing has latched or secured. I have to pull the strap in between his legs again and have to do this at least 5 times and keep checking before for whatever reason the straps finally stay secure. So, I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue? What do I do, if I call Britax do you think they will send me a new seat? This thing was NOT cheap, but it's clearly a safety issue. Heaven forbid I just put him in his seat and pulled the strap in between his legs tight and not check the higher straps and find out that they were broken and never tightened properly and we get into an accident and my child flies out of his seat. Any advice is appreciated. thanks.

Re: Britax Boulevard owners, safety issue with straps-advice needed

  • Contact Britax right away. I'd maybe even get another car seat until Britax resolves it. That's very scary.
After 2 years and 6 IUIs, we did it with IVF w/ ICSI!

  • So you think everything is secure, tug on the straps and they pull out like they do when you're getting him out of the seat? Is the loosening button/lever thingie getting stuck in so it's not staying tight?

Do not use this seat. Ever. Definitely call Britax, but never ever use the seat again until it is fixed. Not even to go get a new seat. Also call the CPSC to report it: https://www.saferproducts.gov/CPSRMSPublic/Incidents/ReportIncident.aspx
