Apartment advice for 1st rental together?
My husband and I just graduated college in May and since then have been living at my parents house. I know...lame. The job market sucks and it's been tough for both of us to find jobs. He has a FT job and I'm finishing up another unpaid internship (for more experience....had to accept Mayo Clinic, right??). We decided we didn't want to move anywhere until we both knew where we were working so we would avoid some seriously terrible commutes. Now we're apartment hunting in the south metro...any tips on places or advice for our first rental?

Do you know where you will be working yet? I can tell you that 35E is always really backed up in the morning due to construction so if you'll be heading to downtown st. paul that direction the commute is terrible right now.
The first apartment my H and I lived in together was here:

I thought it was very reasonably priced for the ammenities they have which are a pool, club house, and workout facility. They are also cat and dog friendly. Our unit had a washer/dryer combo that was really convenient. It's located very close to St. Paul near Hwy 52 and 494.
