Re: What's the most random thing you have in your purse at all times?
In addition to floss, I keep a toothbrush with a little cover in my purse pretty much at all times. I absolutely HATE when my teeth don't feel clean.
I also keep a toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss in my glovebox for teeth cleaning emergencies. lol
Hmmm..I would have to say a paper copy of a dental x-ray that shows where the metal plates are in my jaw. I carry it around just in case I am flying and the metal detector goes off so I can prove to them that I have metal in my jaw.
Other random things in my purse...an epi pen and a copy of my marriage certificate.
I keep this stuff at my desk at work.
Today the most random things in my purse are a Lego catalog and a plastic bowl that held yesterday's breakfast.
Normally I don't have very random items in it. I carry an inhaler, at least one pad (kind of random since most women my age use tampons, I guess), Plaquers and a mini toothbrush and toothpaste.
ETA: I also have a toothbrush, floss and toothpaste in my car.
Oh don't you worry. I have another set in my desk too.
A small cardboard book. Perfect size to keep DS entertained if we end up needing a distraction.
I used to carry the leftover part of the Kong from which Clancy ate the top portion (this was in case he had issues and we had to rush him to the vet, I could illustrate the size that he swallowed based on what was remaining....).. but since he miraculously, um, revealed it, I was able to get rid of that. haha
I think I have pretty normal stuff now. Though I do have a savings bond in there that I keep forgetting to move to the safe.... and a wedding contract.. lol. Those are things I've been meaning to take out, though, not intentional stuff I feel the need to keep with me at all times.
I don't know if this is random, but I always have my kindle and a bag of almonds with me.
I also carry a stockpile of about a dozen gift cards to various stores. When I get a gift card, I don't usually make a special trip to that store to spend it. Typically I just carry it around (sometimes for years) until I happen to be at that store spending money anyway.

Is that considered random now?? I would never be caught w/o a checkbook.
I guess I consider it random b/c my groomer is the only place I write checks. Occasionally I write one if I'm buying find raiser crap from CW's kids.
Emergencies... or if a credit card machine goes down and I don't have cash...

I have an Amazing Grass Meal Replacement bar that's been in there for at least 2 years. I apparently have never been desperate enough to eat it.
