When do you prefer to schedule your interview?

I always try to schedule one of the last time slots in the window of interviewing.

I prefer to be last and sell my unique or different skill sets to stand out from the other candiates.

I was curious as to what others do.

    This. And as a recruiter, I can say pretty confidently that it doesn't matter.

    IVF with PGD - three embryos created, all healthy - July 2014
    FET - transferred two embryos (boy and girl) - Nov 2014 - BFP!

  • I never had a say either.  I don't think it matters. If you make a strong enough impression on them, it shouldn't matter whether you're first, or second or last in my opinion.
  • In terms of when you fall in the interview sequence, I never worry about that.  I've been on the other side of the table and it really doesn't matter when the right candidate comes in, you know it.

    I do try to not make my interview TIMES too early or late in the day.  I hate to make someone come in early or leave late because of me.

  • I always schedule for what works best for the interviewer's schedule.
  • I try to be first or last, mostly so I don't have to go to work, leave, and then come back at a weird time and then lie about where I was. If I just have to leave work a little early most people don't ask about it.

    I'm not proud of this, but I once interviewed lots of blah people over several days. No thank you notes, follow-ups, or anything to make someone stand out. After the last person left, my co-worker and I were burnt out from the day and both said "lets just go with her and be done". She was a tiny bit better than the others, but going last probably got her the job.
