When will I learn?
Baking is not my forte. I can cook just about anything but anything I bake is all but guaranteed to fail. Rhian has been begging to make Halloween cookies though so I decided to give it a try today.
Out of 12 cookies, we have 1 legless cat, 1 tailess cat, 1 headless ghost, 1 cracked pumpkin and 1 headless and armless ghost. Oh, and half of them are burned to boot! I don't even know what the hell went wrong. I even bought packaged cookie dough that you just add egg and butter to because I thought they would be impossible to screw up. How the heck did cookies that went in the oven in perfect shape come out with broken and missing limbs?
Oh well, at least Rhian thinks they taste good.

isn't it obvious? You have oven goblins. They steals your goodies whilst they're baking. They're just not very good cookie thieves.

Pillsbury makes halloween cookies. YOu can get them where you buy their biscuits/rolls.
They come in a tube. ALL you have to do is open the tube, and place the pre-cut cookies on the tray.
You can not break them or ruin them. You do NOT have to add anything to them. They are pretty yummy. I think they have ghosts and pumpkins right now.
I guess the only thing that could happen is you could burn them.
Might want to try those.
Whenever i'm goign to a party and dont have time to bake ones from scratch, i grab those. Usually they are a fairly big hit and i dont come home with any.
I don't think it's my oven or bakign sheets. I've had several different ovens over the years and have tried just about every type of baking sheet out there. Nonstick, airfilled, dark, silicone it doesn't seem to matter.
I bought the powered mix because I have even worse luck with the Pillsbury ready dough.
I think the oven goblins must be the answer. Afterall, I have spirits that turn off my tv, turn my ceiling fans on high and drive my cats crazy so goodie goblins wouldn't be too far of a stretch.
