Tired of me yet? New update
I have a new update on baby Ari. I went to the dr today and baby is still getting bigger. I am still measuring about 5 weeks ahead and my dr is worried that the baby really will be huge. Well she gave us the choice of waiting until I go naturally and trying a vaginal but she really thought that it might end with a c/s. Next option was to just have a c/s. My last option was to have an amnio and check the baby's lung development and if they are mature then they would schedule me for the next available opening for induction. After talking my DH and I decided to do the amnio and induction. I think she freaked my DH out with all the talk about the risk of the baby's head coming out but shoulders getting stuck and causing a emergency situation.
My amnio will be scheduled for early next week (Tuesday hopefully) So little Ari will probably be here late next week or early the week after. It all just depends on how busy the hospital is.
BTW I also progressed a little bit with dilating so she said at least my body was getting ready on it's own. If there were no dilation then the induction has a greater chance of ending in a c/s.
I figured either way I could possibly end up with a c/s. At least this way, I get a chance to try vaginally first.

Well Im glad they are giving you a chance. Hopefully he will be ready. Is it possible the ED dates might be wrong? 5 weeks - all I can say is WOW! I hope it all goes great and you can go natural. GL and let us know how it goes.

No not really. I was at first just because the pain was so bad I had no choice but to lay there. But now I am up and actually in Tampa for the weekend for my shower. I was thinking about going back to school a day earlier if my induction is not set by then.
Well, school still doesn't know yet. They knew it was a possibility of me leaving early but from what I hear there is a hiring freeze that is preventing a replacement to be hired anyway. Of course they will have to lift that for this instance, but I was going to wait until after the amnio before I gave them more news. If my induction is scheduled for Thursday I won't go back, but if it's not until Sat or later I will go back and make Friday my last day. I figure no use in calling with no real answer on rather or not I would be back. The sub that's in my room now can only be in there 9 days consistantly before they have to pay him the real teacher salary so I know they are probably running around trying to fill the vacancy. I am able to do report cards from home and I am probably going to see about scheduling a full day of report card conferences for my parents on Friday if I am still with child.
Good luck! Just to give you some positive thoughts. I was 1 cm dilated forever (even after I had been on pitocin for several hours) and I still ended up with a vaginal birth, don't let them scare you. : )
I think it helped that they manipulated my cervix and broke my water after a while. Oh, and they also turned me back and forth after I had the epidural to help dilate. Maybe you can get them to do those tricks too!! Oh, I don't know how religious you are but I prayed like crazy in that bed. lol I did NOT want the c-sec. either.
