Does this sound sincere? (Not edited)
As we enter the holiday season, it is important to reflect on the past year and all the things you have to be thankful for. Quite frankly, it is something we should do on a
regular basis, but let?s face it, usually don?t until the holidays are upon us.
I?d love to see our team take some time and voice to a coworker something that they
are thankful for. As it seems, in times of change especially, it is easier to release negative thoughts and opinions as opposed to doing what is positive and right. At the risk of sounding sycophant, I am certainly thankful to be in the position I am here at
[company name]. At the end of the day, I work with some great people, I?m constantly learning new things and it?s nice to be a part of something that feels like family when I?m away from my own ? always growing and evolving.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I have only one choice but to reflect on the many November mornings I?ve spent in my grandmother?s kitchen stuffing a turkey before church. If she?s taught me anything in life, it?s simply to remember that a thankful heart has a continual feast.? - [my name]
Re: F/U: Writing/Word Help
Love!
But it should probably like "like a sycophant"...I'm pretty sure thats the noun version. Might want to double check me with wiki though.
Will do! Thanks for your help dehko!
This. Or use its adjective form, sycophantic. Either way, your letter from the Editor sounds great!
