American Horror Story 11/2 Spoilers
OMG I didn't watch what happened to the dog... as soon as she said, "come here girl" I closed my eyes and told H to tell me when to open them...he told me what happened but wow I'm glad I didn't see it.... I know it's all fake but this show just creeps me out... yet I can't stop watching! Ugh!

I'm torn if Tate is dead or alive? All this time I thought dead but there were times this episode that made me think otherwise. The scene where Constance was putting makeup on Addy was heartbreaking.
I really like these episodes where they focus more on plot building than shock value.
I was both sad and amused when they were all congregating back to the house at sunrise and talking about how their night was. I will miss Zachary Quinto; hope they bring him back
I am still leaning towards Tate being dead, but I am very interested in the school shooting storyline. I imagine that would hit close to home for some people.
Hey, who knows if the dog is OK!?? It was Halloween! She could have just bounced back as a ghost lol
I never post on this board but I just can't quit this show.
Tate is definitely dead. The cheerleader said that she should be 34 years old, which would mean that the shooting happened around 17-18 years ago. Assuming he was the shooter, it would be impossible for him to be alive and the age he is.
Constance's photo also heavily implied that Tate and Addie were similar ages, possibly even that he was older.
Tate is def dead. Which is weird because I still think he is hot. It was weird he did not try to go farther with Violet sexually. Then the comment about being with a "girl". I'm thinking he was sexually abused? I'm not sure if he actually killed those kids. I am wondering what they wanted him to say at the end? Admit that he killed them? Not too shocking that Tate was Addies sister. Very sad that she is dead. Curious as to why Violet is in the house with Jessica Lange. JL said that Tate would be upset if he knew addie was dead, yet we never see him interacting with her. JL mentioned that Violet was strong and thats why Tate was drawn to her. She also seems the least scared, and usually the ghosts do not mess with her. Any idea whos arm that was reaching out from under her bed to grab her? Hayden? It looked corpse like. And Tate saved her just in time by showing up.
I loved this episode and like pp, am really enjoying the fact that they are building the plot.
Still hate burn guy. I think he may be actually alive, because he was begging Ben to kill him. Last we saw him he was pouring gas all over the house again. Whats weird is he claimed that his wife and children died in that house, yet we never see them around...
Ben is a mess. I can't believe after all that he has seen in that house he would leave his wife and child there.
Hayden did not bother me as much. I think she did a great job playing a psycho. I love when she asked the cop "what happens now" and then vanished.
LOVED all of the ghosts coming back to the house. Between what they were saying walking back to the house and the fact that the Dr's wife helped Ben escape and saying "I will not let another family fall apart here", I'm not so sure the ghosts actually want to kill the new homeowners. Maybe scare them away?
The previews for the baby look rough. Anyone see the clawed looking foot poking out of Viv's stomach?

Agreed....Tate is dead but I don't think he knows it. I think maybe he came home and killed himself after he killed all of those kids and just blocked it out, which is why he hasn't left the house.
He seemed genuinely confused at the kids and who they were in a sense. Maybe his mental health blocked out what he did to them. Also, Constance was deathly afraid of Tate finding out that poor Addie was dead-broke my heart by the way.

Yes to all of this!! Also, the picture that she showed was recent no? They looked the exact same age as they are now. It is so weird that she is afraid of Tate knowing. Remember when she waved at him and he did not wave back? IHe looked pissed at her. Maybe he was sparing her because she was taking care of Addie, and now that Addie is dead, she will be fair game? He did not seem to think of her fondly.
Jessica Lange is weird about sex. And Tate was weird when Violet put the moves on him. He said he had never been with a "girl" not "woman". Maybe she did something to him sexually that really screwed him up.... I know that is reaching, but this show never ceases to suprise.
Except for Rubber Man, maybe ghosts are unable to have sex (@ least w/the living). Didn't one or more of the teen ghosts comment that they have not been able to have sex in years? (And not to sound weird, but Chad made it sound like Patrick was at the gay bar during the night, ?giving?, but not? getting??but enough about that, LOL). I think Tate is in denial about killing those H.S. students. I think his former classmates just needed him to acknowledge what he did. Maybe that?s why Constance wants him to be treated by Ben, so Tate can come to terms with what he did. I think you may have something about Tate being sexually abused. That could explain why he was so angry, and went on his shooting spree. He wouldn?t even look at Constance from outside the window on last week?s show, AND, we see how Constance likes those young boys!
I think there are more ghosts we have yet to see, but they aren?t going to introduce them to us all at once. I?m guessing Charles died in that house somehow. If not by his own hands, then by the hands (or hoofs) of the Infantata! There?s still speculation that he could be Rubber Man, but I?m kind of leaning towards the theory that Rubber Man IS the House.
Like Constance, I?m not sure if Burn Guy Larry is alive or dead. Who lets a murderer out of jail just because he has a brain tumor and is dying? He?s definitely not a good guy, but he?s got some good lines, LOL! I can maybe buy into the theory that he?s an alter ego of Ben. We know Ben has a dark past that they have yet to reveal. He certainly is coming un-glued!
I can see that MAYBE some of the ghosts in the House don?t want to harm the Harmons. Chad certainly was clear he wants them out. Even though he?s really pissed off, maybe there?s a good intention there. Nora wants Ben to protect the baby?but WHY? I wonder if she?s trying to get the baby back that she lost. We know there?s something not right with the unborn child. What do Constance and the ghosts have to gain by making sure this baby is born? I can guess too that this baby is born IN the House (and not a hospital)!
And that would explain his "grunge-era" clothing - from the early to mid 90s and love of Kurt Cobain.

Ben is starting to remind me of Jack Nicholson in The Shining - slowly becoming unhinged. And when the woman (is it Moira? I forget her name) helped him out of the basement, it really reminded me of The Shining.

I think the Burned Man is dead. And kind of think dominatrix guy is Charles, even though the time periods are off. Mainly cause I don't know who else it would be.
The group of teenagers were definitely mid-late 90's when all the school shootings were going on (the goth girl referenced the "do you believe in god" quote that supposedly happened during the Columbine shooting). I don't know if I understand why Tate doesn't know them. Maybe Tate has a twin we don't know about or something?

The dog came back because it died in the house. I don't think Ghost Hayden really bothered with putting tomatoes in the microwave to give Vivian a childlike scare.

Yep, pretty sure he had a psychotic break when he shot up the school so that's why he doesn't remember them. And the preview for next week showed a SWAT team coming in the house, so he probably went there to hide and was killed. Which is why he is still in the house.
Def the burned man is alive. He kept asking ben to kill him so he can come back and haunt him. He is just to attached to the house that makes it seem like he is dead.
We still have yet to see his family on a episode.
and WFT with Ben...he cheated, apologized when to therapy and then cheated again before they moved which left hayden pregnant. Felt bad for Viv.
I think Tate is dead. Went on a shooting spree, killed himself afterwards and just doesn't remember. Possibly he was molested or raped early on which seems to be the case for Addy to. She did tell Violet she wasn't a virgin when she was putting make up on her.
I don't know. I feel like Tate had to have been the one abused, not the abuser. Because something had to make him snap.
I actually felt bad for Hayden in this episode. She was really thrown when Viv revealed her pregnancy and she seemed so resigned in the police car when she said, "He was the love of my life. Now what?" or whatever the line was. I think she was an emotionally unbalanced girl who got in way over her head.
I absolutely agree that Tate went on the killing spree in the 90's, killed himself, and doesn't remember. He may or may not know he's dead. Seems like he had a pretty tumultuous life and death and what's leftover is confused.
Anyone think hot security guy is going to turn into something? My DH pointed out that he thought it was odd that the same person installed the system and is the only person to respond every time. Might be reading into it too much, but with this show, who knows??
I am finding myself really enjoying every character except Ben at this point. He's weak annoying. Oh, and I really think Jessica Lange is alive.

I was suspicious of the security guy but then Hayden disappeared and he didn't disappear. Thus I think he's alive. I'm still suspicious about the real estate agent though.
Tate is definitely dead and definitely acted out the shooting he described previously during his counseling session. I think he is just repressing the memory and believes (or wants to believe) it was a dream. During the first counseling session there is a moment where a dead bleeding version of Tate suddenly appears behind Ben, but only for a flash. I suspect Tate kills himself in the house.
If Addy and Tate were abused I think their dad would be a possibility for the abuser, or perhaps as Constance indicated it was a boyfriend. There would have been quite a bit of time between her husband's death and Tate's death I believe.
Also what the heck is the deal with pregnant rubber man? I'm looking forward to the rubber man episode.
Agreed. I think she has to be dead because she seems like she was around for a lot of the history of the house AND she knew the gay dead guys and recommended them even lol

Good point. This is also what makes it even more creepy; it feels "familiar" and real people went through something similar.
I still can't decide if Tate is the perfect child or not. Constance seems shallow enough to believe him to be perfect despite his mental health issues. But I'm not sure. If I'm remembering correctly though the oldest child was the "perfect" one, right? Didn't Constance say she should have stopped after the first? If Tate died in the early to mid 90's at maybe 17 or 18 that wouldn't put him as the oldest. When the twins died in 1978 I believe there was already a 5ish year old girl (who I do not believe was Addy). So who is the perfect child??? I've read some speculations that it might be Ben.
If Ben is the perfect child, Tate and Violet are blood relatives unless Ben is not the biological father of Violet. However, from this last episode Vivian had an affair when she was Hayden's age. This would be around the time Violet was born.
What are your thoughts on this? Any other theories out there?
