non matching w/d
would you buy a non matching set of front loaders, aka you cannot stack them, but the washer had steaming feature? made by the same company same color?

Yes. We did this when we bought our house. Washer is white, dryer is cream; same manufacturer.
They are in the basement (or laundry room)...it's not like they are on display like kitchen appliances.
So they are the same color, same brand but technically the models don't go together? I think that's perfectly fine.
Our W&D is right off of our kitchen as well. They are in a room with a door but I can see your want/need for them to be pretty so they aren't a giant eye sore.
that does. they are both display models so better then what we could afford. they have the matching washer but the steam option is very appealing with cats and a baby.

OK I am lost. Are they the same color? Looking at the pics, they look like they match to me.
Is there a way to maybe hang a curtain rod and hide the space behind a curtain or maybe those divider things you stand up- I don't know what they are called- sorry!
They look similar-I don't think anyone will notice
