Does anyone have a metal bed frame? We just have our box spring and mattress on the floor and I really want to get the bed up so we can have some storage space underneath. We can't spend much right now because of the home buying journey but I was thinking a metal frame and some risers would be an inexpensive fix. I'm just wondering how they are... if they're sturdy, noisy, uncomfortable, etc... If you have any thoughts, please pass them on!
Thanks!
Re: Metal Bed Frame
MY BLOG!
That sounds like the one we currently have, which is older than I am. My parents bought it when they were first married and it's held up just fine for the past ~30 years.
I've been using it for about the last 10 years. I don't really notice any squeaking and have no complaints in the comfort department.
Then again, I don't know if they've changed they way they make these bed frames in the last 30 years...

This kind?
I used to have one, and it worked just fine. My mom has one now since the headboard she purchased didn't come with a frame. No noise, no worry about safety. I do recommend risers, though, because they're a bit low to the ground.
Yup! That's exactly what I was looking at. I can get a used one and risers to add enough height for under $50.
