easier to do here than in multiple other places (so FB friends, here's the report we've been waiting for) - BENIGN!!! (or, as I want my new vanity license plate to read, BE NINE)
so I'm back to mammos every 6 months for a few years, but ... WHEW!
I know most of you all think this is an old lady thing but as a few others will attest -- check yourself monthly, no matter what your age. And if your dr recommends a mammogram, get one. I know there are new medical and insurance issues questioning the frequency but as one whose "issues" were found by consistent yearly screening, I highly recommend going. (My issues would not have been found by monthly self-checks.)
So -- everyone -- have your bevvie of choice, on me (well, the virtual me) tonight! and hug your boobs!
Re: boob biopsy results are in....
I'm so glad to hear this!
My great aunt just got diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer (she never did exams or mammograms or in general take very good care of herself) which prompted my mom to get a mammogram. They found something suspicious, but thankfully after an ultrasound determined it wasn't anything.
As women (or at least me), I feel like we're always watching out & caring for others. It really is so important for us to monitor and take care of our health too!
Hooray! That is great news. So happy to hear it - must be such a load off of your mind. (And thanks for the reminder, I was supposed to schedule my mammogram last month and didn't....)

Wonderful! What a relief!
I hope my aunt has the same results... she survived it 10 years ago but they recently found another mass.

Oh, Kastle, I am so sorry to hear this. I know so many older women who don't go for a variety of reasons and .. this just makes me sad. Good for your mom for going in and getting checked, and you stay on top of your boobs, too!

Oh, Schy, so sorry to read this -- yes, let's hope her results are similar! or if not, at least, treatable. do let me know....

That's wonderful news!!
Earlier last month I had a breast infection that my doctor suspected was inflammatory breast cancer - so incredibly scary! Thankfully it turned out to be mastitis (I don't breastfeed or even have children so it was really odd) but I am so vigilant now with checking myself for lumps or anything that doesn't seem normal.
I just pushed my mom to go for her mammogram - it's so important!
Yay, Pam!
Schy and Kastle, so sorry to hear about your aunts.
