Happy Friday! Weekend plans?
Ah, finally, the weekend is here again! What have you got planned?
I'm spending the weekend in Chicago w/DH and some good friends, then working out of our Chicago office for a couple of days next week. Other than spending time with my friends, I'm looking forward to eating at Girl and the Goat, a restaurant owned by a Top Chef winner (anyone watching the new season that started a couple of nights ago, btw?).
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: Happy Friday! Weekend plans?
Rock, sometimes I wish I had your life.
Today I'm buying paint and heading to Needham to buy a learning tower off of CL.
Tomorrow DH is watching DD all day so I can paint 2 bathrooms, and maybe start the dining room (finally figured out the layout, etc.)
Sunday I'm going to the Irish Cultural Center for their sit n knit.
Our little Irish rose came to us on March 5, 2010
Don't drink the water.

Have fun in Chicago, Rock! I hear Girl & the Goat is amazing.
I have the day off today because my mom is here. My brother got his power back last night, so I'm hoping hers comes back on today so she can go home. Heh. We're going to do some shopping and some errands this afternoon, since she's got a car.
Tomorrow, it'll all depend on whether or not she's still here. Sunday, I'm meeting a group of friends at Beacon Hill Bistro for brunch, and then have a couple of errands to run in the city.
Ha, well then you'd be running around like the proverbial chicken while never accomplishing anything that "should" be done
Have fun!
Apparently my parents are arriving Tuesday. I was not expecting them until Thursday so this has thrown DH and me for a bit of a loop.
With that said, I get home late tonight. Tomorrow we have a birthday party and I am hoping Sunday will be spent lounging around in pajamas and hanging out.
Fun! I have never been to Chicago and have always wanted to.
Tonight we tentatively planning on going to Fenway, primarily for DS to meet Wally. We have tickets for an event there, but DS was up half the night (why? I don't know) and it might be really cold, so I'm not sure we'll end up going.
Tomorrow is my little sister's birthday and our only plans are going to a birthday dinner for her (since my other 2 sisters and SIL now live out of state, we're the only local family to attend). My keurig broke, so I think we'll go buy a new one. Exciting, I know.
Sunday we have three showings of the house, so our realtor is just doing an open house since he'll be here most of the day anyway.
Wow, LadyE, good luck with the showings! I hope one of them works out for you.
Rock, I have Top Chef DVRed and will hopefully watch this weekend.
I have a friend in from out of town, but she has lived in the area before so we have no need to do the usually touristy stuff we do with visitors. We're planning on a lot of hanging out and watching TV.
Good luck!
Is that house you love still on the market?
Rock- That place sounds amazing!
Friday- work people are taking me out to happy hour to celebrate my departure.
Saturday- shopping then dinner at my BFF's house. It is going to be a sad night.
Sunday- baby shower then packing.
Good luck with the showings, LadyE!
My mom has power! She's leaving in about an hour, after rush hour dies down. Not that I'm counting the seconds or anything, heh. So tomorrow, I think we're going to try to hit up a movie and grab dinner or lunch in the city, depending on when we go.
Lady E- Good luck tomorrow with the open house!
Rock- that restaurant looks wonderful g97666666666666666 (Kitty says hello, as she just walked across the keyboard....)
I made a to do list last night, so this weekend is all about catching up on "stuff" that needs to be done. Making chili for dinner tonight, yesterday I went and bought pretty ornaments from CB that I wanted for my NYE party (yes, I plan months in advance for the decorations...) I'm going to work on the "chandelier" that I create for the NYE party and hopefully get the pieces finished this weekend. Clean up the front garden, paint some book characters for my niece's birthday, go to BN and get a few books for my classroom... and a few other, not very interesting errands.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
We'll see.
And we ended up having two showings on Tuesday, one of whom called our realtor Tuesday night and said they were very interested and wanted a second showing asap. Then nothing. *sigh*
Ginger, you have to show us that chandelier project and all your decorations when they're done. Sounds awesome!
LadyE, don't give up hope!
