Umm Barbie lives the rock star lifestyle now.  She's got crazy stuff now.

Yeah I clicked on the Mattel site and was overwhelmed at all the different types of Barbies there are now. A few years back I went over to my parents' house and went through all of my Barbie stuff. I found my Rocker Barbie, my Western Barbie, Peaches and Cream Barbie, etc. Oh and the Western Camper (vehicle thing that folded out). I also still had some Barbie clothes from when my mom was little.

I am keeping DD away from Barbie Mania for as long as I possibly can. She has a Barbie or two, a Barbie-sized Princess doll or two, and will probably get a Barbie-sized Pixie Hollow doll or two for Christmas, but I can't imagine getting into all of the accessories.

PS: No judgment on parents who have! I just mean I don't want to start on that slippery slope, just for the sake of my sanity

Barbie is an evil woman.  Wait til Mia gets a tad older, all her friends will give her barbie presents and you'll have no choice but to get sucked in.
