got some terrible news:(...
Our company laid off 200 employees last week. We thought, those of us left behind, that this was a good thing. We were told to have faith, be positive...blah blah..whatever...and those who were laid off received a beautiful severence....
Word in the office and around town is that we will be taken over by the feds or our doors will closed in the next month. The only issue with this is that we get absolutely NO severence and NO vacation pay out. My boss will neither confirm or deny this!!!
I cannot afford this kinda loss:( And the idea of not being paid our vacation time will be a HUGE loss. I have a nice amount of vacation time that I have not used.
Ugh...pity party...join me for a good cry fest. Please.

OMG...Lisa, I'm so sorry this extra stressor has been added to your life. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers that you are able to make it through this. I hope it works out in your favor - somehow!
We're right with you, DH's company has been so slow he's worked all of 20 hours over the last 2 weeks. And it looks like lay-offs my be right around the corner too - he's the newest hire(he started there in June). We can't afford to have one of us even working just part time, let alone NOT AT ALL. It's scary to say the very least.
I'm so sorry you are going through this. Hopefully it is just a rumor and you will at least still get your vacation and a severance package. So sorry!!!((((HUGS))))
