When we bought this house, *certain family members* (and one or two friends) were a little...overly honest about what a POS this house was......well, they can fvck off, don't you think?
Indeed, I do think. And while it definitely was a little...well, outdated to begin with, it looks like just about everything was cosmetic, which, as I am learning in my new read, "Homebuying For Dummies" (ha ha!), that's where you can get your real finds. I definitely wouldn't have classified it as a POS by any means!
I almost paged you the other day because my folks are replacing their countertops (after 20 years of formica!) with some type of material - not granite exactly, but something else....maybe an engineered granite. Anyway, my mom was flip-flopping on two very different colors, but decided before I could get outside opinions. It's going to change that entire kitchen - that counter dates the whole room. I'll see if I can get her to take before and after pictures.
ANYWAY though...what a huge difference! Gorgeous, gorgeous.
I can't wait to see before and after pics - it is amazing how just one little thing can change the entire dynamic of the room. I hope she loves her new countertops.
I meant to suggest that you do some side by side before and after pictures for when you post them here. I think those are super fun, particularly since they are such a dramatic change!
